No duh. Joyce would be the toughest opponent for anybody. Fury is the only heavyweight that can beat him right now.

Now I know that people like to claim that Fury has great endurance.

But when you check the statistics, you will then realize that Fury's endurance is completely overrated.

On another thread about Anthony Joshua, I posted the statistics of Fury's & Joshua's elite level fights.

Joshua was out working Fury in most of his fights, or at-least matching him. But still there is this narrative that Fury has monster endurance.

Usyk & Joyce statistically have the best endurance in the Heavyweight division. Joshua is criticized for his lack of endurance, but he has better endurance than 95% of the other Heavyweights in the division 'It is just a area of his game, which is not his strong point'.

Fury & Joshua are pretty much level on endurance. When you analyse the statistics.

Joshua has actually in my opinion achieved greater feats of endurance vs Kiltschko.

I.E Being decked by Kiltschko mid way through the fight, to then fight back and Knock out Kiltschko late in the fight 'Is a more impressive feat of endurance than anything Fury has ever achieved'.

Fury was decked by Wilder in round 12 of their first fight. It was still a great feat of endurance to survive the knock down, but Fury only had to fight back survive until the end of the round.

But now specifically talking about Usyk. It is Tyson Fury's inside game, which is the game changing attribute.

Fury has not shown the ability of late to out box a fighter of Usyk's caliber. If Fury beats Usyk at this stage, I personally think it will be because of his superior inside game.

Note: One thing people continue to overlook with Fury is? Tyson Fury skill for skill has not actually fought at elite level since the Kiltschko fight. That was the last time Tyson Fury actually fought another fighter, who technically all round was a elite level fighter. Deontay Wilder was a elite level fight, and I do rate Wilder extremely highly 'But in terms of technical skill, no boxing purist rates Wilder as a elite level fighter' That is no disrespect towards Wilder, I am specifically just talking about his boxing skills.

Tyson Fury is having all these stay busy fights, against fighters who are ether domestic or high end European level fighters. Do boxing fans here actually believe there is any carry over from these fights? I don't think Fury is learning anything new from beating Whyte & Chisora.

But Usyk in comparison has just beaten Anthony Joshua, who is a solid super heavyweight back to back twice over 12 rounds 'In a Super Elite match up'. And people may mock Joshua, but skill for skill from mid-long range he is a very capable fighter 'It is not Fury's boxing ability that is going to bother Usyk, it is the violent inside game'.

I rate Tyson Fury as the number 1 Heavyweight. But there is possibility that his lack of experience, in fighting elite level technically skilled fighters 'Might just show up vs Usyk' This is definitely something to consider and debate leading up to this fight.

May I ask if you saved and/or remember the post you gave the like?

Fury says Joyce will be the harder fight.

Fury also said Chisora was a historic trilogy so... grain of salt.

By the way, as big of a Usyk fan as I am, I see no way Fury avoids him like some of you are suggesting. Fight Joyce first? Maybe. He is a homegrown talent and a huge fight in England, so I could see that happening. But I do not get the idea he will not fight Usyk who for all his skills and danger, power is not among them. Fury will take the unification. I just have zero idea when and I am NOT trying to crawl into the mind of Tyson Fury to figure that crap out.

But he wanted to fight him in December and Usyk said NO, just lime Joshua did ....so in your warped way of thinking , Tyson who beat the biggest puncher and arguably the most feared man since Mike Tyson (which neither Usyk or Joshua would go near) is afraid of the two fighters he can't get in the ring ! I hope your 'post' is a joke because really that's all it is ...why bother?

If Usyk had agreed it would have been in December BUT he said he wouldn't be ready after his August fight with Joshua....BUT he would be at the start of 23 BUT for some bizarre reason he then said Tyson was avoiding him and some mugs took it. Just like Joshua not wanting it .If you need a good indication of when these fights will take place ask Fury's opponents as they all seem like they need a long rest before considering it!

Sounds like Fury is gonna avoid the Usyk fight.

However if we get Fury vs Joyce it's still a great fight. It will be a big challenge because if Fury tried to box Joyce, his stamina will be put on a test like never before. And if he tries to wrestle with Joyce he might tire himself too before Joyce who has an incredible engine and size. Fury has never had to deal with a pressure fighter who isn't much smaller than him. Seems likely it will be one-two and grab by Fury using his speed to score and then hold on as much as ref allows. If the ref doesn't allow excessive holding then I could see Fury being in big trouble and end up like other Joyce opponents tiring and eventually being knocked down and out from exhaustion.

Usyk had no real answer for that version of Chisora's inside game.

It was only when Chisora fatigued, Usyk was then able to create distance and box from Mid-Long range.

Check again my post, I have highlighted that it is Fury's inside game which I think? Will be the attribute Usyk is most bothered about 'Skill for skill, I don't think Fury can out box Usyk, in the manner people are playing up'.

Usyk has increased his level in all of his fights at Heavyweight. Each time he has fought, he has been fighting a better fighter.

Joshua skill for skill was probably the best he has ever been in the second fight 'Definitely from mid-long range' Uysk is increasing his game, with each Heavyweight fight 'And there is evidence for this'.

The same cannot be said about Fury, he was nearly taken out by Wilder in the third fight 'And he just fought two fighters, who are not world level fighters'.

It is specifically Fury's inside game, which I think will the winning attribute 'If he is able to apply it vs Usyk'.

But that is the debate? Can Fury apply that inside game vs Uysk? Because make no doubt about it, team Usyk are going to be aware of this.

I make Fury still the favorite for the fight.

You make some really good points about Fury vs Usyk. Just wild why people need to come at totally well built and polite comments with insults, childish nitpicking and aggression.

But I I think I do disagree with you about the Chisora vs Usyk fight. Usyk was just fighting 2nd time at HW and against a guy 40 lbs heavier than himself. Imagine Fury fighting a guy that much bigger than him who puts all is effort to the first few rounds. It wouldn't look like Fury-Chisora. Chisora is a weight bully and every time he has fought someone his own size or bigger he has struggled and lost. He put his everything in the first few rounds against Usyk and after that Usyk was in control. It was a desperate effort and Usyk dealt with it pretty well considering. Usyk had to outsmart and outskill Chisora bcs he doesn't have what Fury has on Derek - size. Against Fury Derek was tame as a kitten bcs his only weapon is his size. Controlling someone so much bigger than you like that isn't something one can really do with boxing rules. It wasn't the inside game, it was just pure aggression that bothered Usyk as it would anyone that much smaller than Derek. Even Parker went down instantly in their first fight.

Usyk vs Fury will be a great battle if the ref won't allow endless holding and starts deducting points. Then we have a boxing match skill vs skill and I agree there it is very even game with Fury having the reach, Usyk having the stamina and speed.

No-one can say Usyk has no chance.

His skill is figuring out his opponents. He's figured out every opponent he's faced to date.

He can't figure out Fury? What evidence is there that can't happen?

They are both tough. Tougher opponents than Wilder, Whyte and Chisora, for sure.
