Nice list, but to really clean up I think he would have had to fight at least one other title holder.

What about the 7 years and counting of floyd dodging his best possible challenges? When is the last time Floyd took on a prime contender (JT) in his weight class, or stepped up to take on the recognized champ in his division? (Baldomir doesn't count for obvious reasons, or we can argue about who was better between baldo and Tarver if you want)
that's nonsense. floyd hasn't taken on the best at 140 and 147 imo but he hasn't exactly been fighting nobodies.

you can make more of a case for hopkins not fighting anyone after jones and before tito.

floyd only spent a year at 140. talks with a kostya fight was happening it's just kostya took hatton because hatton was more money at the time. floyd would have fought kostya.

at 147 he fought a top 10 fighter in zab and the lineal champ of 140 and 147 in hatton and baldomir. he also fought a top 2-3 154 lber in oscar.

yes margarito , cotto , winky , mosley , etc. would have been better choices but those guys are still top quality opponents.

hell he had to fight baldomir to get the lineal belt. why the hell did hopkins have to fight robert allen and antwun echols 15 times for?

I would really like to see Floyd fight a big man. It surprised me how much trouble a diminished Oscar gave him.

Exactly, has Floyd ever been the dog? Except possibly and very slight against Corrales?

Totally right, especially when he made 20 defenses of his MW title. Pretty similar to Floyd's reign at Welterweight how about his reign at JWW, that was impressive wasn't it? Remind me when Floyd took on 10 different contenders of all types at a weight where he was champion. Then remind me of when he took on 20, because I'm sure you can find it (ok we can throw out Oscar if you want).

Remember that Tito was favored to beat bhop in a big way for that fight.

Didn't say it was. You can't debate Mayweather having accomplished more or facing the better opposition. Then again, Mayweather isn't done and B-Hop is wasting everyone's time with Roy.

He fought Gatti, Mitchell, Baldomire, Judah, Oscar, Hatton, and Marquez in the time frame that Hopkins fought: Oscar, Eastman, Taylor x2, Tarver, Wright, Calzaghe, and Pavlik.

That was almost his whole career. Mayweather faced alot more bigger opponents then he did smaller.

Ar 147. Oscar does not cut it, and he strugged with Oscar, when I thought Oscar would lose almost every round.
