hopkins whole career and "legend" is based on a bunch of fights similar to what floyd did last saturday and is getting ripped on for.

guys that trump the quality of hopkins opponents just go for brand name.

      big names ain't everything.
Man get out of here with that bull****. Castillo was seen as selling his title and mauweather was a big favorite. Corales also moved down from 135 to 130 to make the fight. Mayweather hasn't fought anybody else. Tell me one person on Floyds resume that could have competed with Hopkins P4P?

only difference is jmm is actually a good fighter.
          Pinky,

Your only argument is Corrales and Castillo?

What about the 7 years and counting of floyd dodging his best possible challenges? When is the last time Floyd took on a prime contender (JT) in his weight class, or stepped up to take on the recognized champ in his division? (Baldomir doesn't count for obvious reasons, or we can argue about who was better between baldo and Tarver if you want)

What are you talking about, please explain? Did Hopkins not fight the the champ at 175 most thought he would lsoe to. Oscar and Tito were MW champs, and to say anything bad about the Tito fight is straight up BS, since Hopkins was a four to one underdog.

Floyd was a sizable favorite to beat Marquez.

Hopkins was 6-1 to lose to Tito and a sizable dog to Tarver and Pavlik.

Marquez never fought above 135, while Tito was a champ (undefeated no less) at MW. Big difference.

To Floyd Mayweather's defense, he did clean up 130.

Exactly, B-Hop was the under dog against Tito, Pavlik and Tarver. He didn't only win as the under dog, he dominated.

Yes, but that is nothing in comparison to what Hopkins did.
