    Leonard beats Floyd.

Floyd hasn't fought many speed fighters that are up to his level, and Leonard not only was fast, but hit really hard at Welterweight. Though Floyd is without question one of the smartest fighters I've personally have ever seen, Leonard also had great ring smarts and knew how to frustrate opponents. I think Leonard would be overly aggressive and fast enough to keep Floyd on his toes for a good amount of the fight with Floyd receiving the brunt of the punishment.

I think Ray would win a UD in a really good fight.

Can't imagine Mayweather having an easy time against this man:

Great footage of Benitez there. I was wrong in my last post. I think Floyd beats Kalule easy but it would be a UD. A in shape Benitez would give Floyd fits

Ray, you have been wrong on most of your posts...Mayweather may pound per pound be up there with Ray. However, at welter weight there is nothing he could do besides make a fast, hard hitting, more offensive minded , great fighter miss, like Ray. Yes Ray would would miss alot of punches, but making a person miss does not win you the fight. Benetiz made leonard miss, but Mayweeather would not have anything offensive at welterweight to to even com close to keeping rayoff of him.

This would be strategically one easy fight for ray. He would simply use his jab, and initiate exchanges, relentlessly walking Mayweather down from corner to corner, and when Mayweather backs up to the ropes let his hands go, or even jab and go the body with hard hooks. It may not be a pretty fight, but unlike DlH who at 36 was not even half of what peak Ray was, Ray would not tire out after 7 rounds. Look at his 15round war with Duran, stopping hearns in the 14th, benetiz in the 15th. So Mayweather would have to fight Ray, and he would not enjoy reach or speed advantages, thus he would have to open up and exchange if he wanted to win. That is where he gets killed. Mayweather stands no chance exchanging with Ray. He again, will make Ray miss alot of shots, and may some counters, but your not going to beat a hearns, duran, Leoanrd with pot shots, sporatic counters, and defense. You have to fight, that is why this era was so revered, because these fighters fought. You did not have ****, like DLH-Mayweather, or a Mayweather saying he isthebest, but fighting JMM, ignoring Mosly, Margerito, Cotta, Berto, Williams, etc. He fights a fighter who except for 2 fights, fought at 128 or less, he was not even a solid 135 pound fighter. What a joke..

Ray Leonard already fought a style like FM ........ He fought and beat his dad Floyd Senior ........ Who basically was bigger stronger and had a longer reach than Floyd Jr. and fights the same style cause his Father taught him ........ Ray beat the dog **** out of Floyd Senior all he could do was lay on the ropes and take it like a man ........ The only difference would be Floyd Jr. is a lil faster but he would be to small in every aspect ....... Floyd Jr. does not have good foot speed either just decent hand speed against select opponents ......... If a 33 year Dela Hoya could hit Floyd Ray would knock him out lif he layed on the ropes for 12 rounds ........ Ray by Brutal KO over the smaller man.

ray beats PBF just like how he beat benitez...

benitez was just as slick... though a little, little bit below PBF in terms of defense, was a better counter puncher... benitez has more power too...

Here is the difference between Floyd and Benitez. Floyd is in much better shape and enjoys to train. Benitez only trained 2 weeks for that fight and still gave Ray problems. Floyd jogs 7 miles and is having fun doing it. Floyd is in the gym all day and is having fun while training. Floyd is much much quicker than Benitez and it's not even close. Benitez as i said many times throws his punches wide, not straight down the pipe and when he made Ray miss the counters were wide open but he punches so wide. Floyd because he is much quicker and a better counterpuncher would have connected on Ray had he made Ray miss those same shots.

Speed Advantage - It depends on what you look at as quality speed. You have volume speed where you put together a pretty volume flurry but your connect rate is low at times and then you have INSTINCT SPEED....To me Floyd is quicker than Ray when it comes to making a guy miss and IMMEDIETELY making him pay. I never thought Ray was very quick in that area.

Against Duran i look at the 1st fight. Ray's speed looks good in flurries but his counterpunch ability when Duran charged in wasn't all that good. The same against Hearns. He was effective when he just became the aggressor and punched in volume.

I have never thought Ray was a quick counterpuncher like a prime Roy Jones or Floyd. Ray is more of a volume speed fighter

Ray was easily outboxed by Hearns who had absolutely horrible legs and it wasn't just the reach. Ray just has problems with guys that box him with good speed. Floyd is in better shape, better defensive fighter with better legs than Hearns.

As already stated though, it's not like Hearns was completely dominating Leonard, and Hearns was a monster at welterweight. Hearns was a really good boxer, far from a horrible one, that's why his monster right was so effective he could set it up with is boxing skills. Mayweather has none of the advantages Hearns did that allowed him to box Leonard.

I wouldn't say that Hearns had "horrible" legs:
