You think Ortiz has earned enough?

He's about to retire on what he's got.

He gets retirement money under another alias with Medicare and social security . I think he does boxing as a hobby for extra income there’s still good fights for him since he’s not having some one sided fights he’s losing that others are making it out to be .

Ruiz didn't catch Ortiz on the chin. He did similarly against Joshua; he threw an overhand right that landed on the side of the head, altering the equilibrium. The second "knockdown" was actually a push down. and the third knock down was more of an overhand right on top of the head. People talk about how old Ortiz is and his chin, legs and skills diminishing and that may be true. But given all of those things, one would think that Ruiz would have walked right through him, yet he did not.

That's an easy question because he's broke.

I just don't understand it. Why did Andy Ruiz do that? Why did he decide to carry "King Kong" rather than going for the knockout? I mean he hurt Ortiz every chance he connected on him flush.

I doubt anyone who’s fought for the title twice just a few years ago and recently made 500 K is broke . If he is it’s because he’s dumb and let’s his management swindle him which wouldn’t be shocking considering his past .

I take that back. He may not be broke but he hasn't earned the type of money that Joshua, Fury and Wilder has earned; Which is at least $30 mil plus each.

Yea well you can say that about most fighters guys like Ortiz are probably better off in the bracket he’s in because I could see him going broke if he acquired that type of money . He just doesn’t seem that smart to me and doesn’t speak English,it wouldn’t exactly be that difficult to rip this guy off or for him to make poor decisions based on his boxing ones .

I think if Ruiz pushed on the gas pedal like he did the first go around vs AJ, he would’ve gotten a stoppage win.

I think Ruiz felt that Ortiz still had power, probably more punching power than AJ has, and Ruiz respected it enough to play it safe vs Ortiz.

Ruiz could’ve gotten Ortiz out of there if he had the balls.

You are absolutely right. He blew a golden opportunity to make a statement in the heavyweight division by not going for the knockout against Luis Ortiz.

If he doesn't show any aggression against Deontay Wilder then he is going to get stopped. There is no way he can stay on the outside like that against Wilder and not throw any punches like he did against Ortiz.

Wilder would totally obliterate Ruiz if he fights him like that.
