Fair points. But what is most likely to happen is Luis Ortiz will just be ignored by almost every HW because there is nothing there for them in a Luis fight, especially when he lost his last fight and didn't perform well. So all this grandstanding will just be that -- grandstanding. Nothing more, nothing less. There are more interesting fights out there than another Ortiz fight.
He will most likely be frozen out and forced to retire.

It pains me to say this but Luis Ortiz’ days as a title contender are over.
He is a gatekeeper status now. His body is beginning to show signs of an aging fighter.
He is a washed out fighter at the present moment. Very sadly and unfortunately he is going to be used as a stepping stone for the younger heavyweight prospects coming up.
I wish that he would retire but he can’t because he needs the money.Comment

What is shot is his punch resistance and his legs. It’ll be hard for him to win any fights vs top tier heavyweights because he gets knocked down too easily and then he’s down on the scorecards. So far, he can recover quite well from being hurt. It’s just that his legs give out from underneath him for a few seconds.
It doesn’t really have anything to do with his skill level. He’s still more skilled than most heavyweights. It’s just a matter of him being old!
He’ll never win a championship though and will probably never get another chance to.Comment

Again, not saying I want to see the fight, but saying saying the angle it could be sold from. He's still top 10 and so is Joshua so not an out of the world possibility. I like you, have no interest in watching Ortiz fight anyone again.Comment
