Wilder would totally obliterate Ruiz if he fights him like that.
Ruiz is made for Wilder. Shorter. Slow on his feet. Plodder. Come forward brawling style. Ruiz is like a slightly better version of Arreola. Fast hands. Decent power. But slow on his feet.

I only say Ruiz slightly better because at least he can stand in there and not get absolutely beat up. That, and at least he actually won at the highest level.

I was a fan of Arreola when he was on the come up on HBO back in ‘08 and ‘09. Ruiz is Arreola version 2.0. Wilder should be able to beat Ruiz.

I totally agree with you. Ruiz is going to have to find away to come forward, walk Wilder down and back him up in order for him to be successful but that's not his style. He likes to ambush his opponents from the outside with fast combination punches while throwing them in spurts. In any case, good observation and nice post!

I like Ortiz & it is obvious he is just looking for the best paydays possible & you can't blame him... The end is near

If we cant get Fury/Usyk or AJ/Fury yet I wouldnt mind either AJ or Fury fighting Ortiz. I think AJ would probably get a decent test from Ortiz although Ortizs faded punch resistance would probably be the decider in that fight. Not sure how competitive Ortiz/Fury would be nowadays, unless Fury turns up half arsed.

PBC doesn't have any big fight for him. He could get undercard fights at best, but he's running out of time... His reckless manager turned down a once-in-a-lifetime offer worth $7 million without Ortiz's consent. It didn't satisfy his greed and wanted $10 million.. Offer went to Ruiz, then another one.

If you look at Ruiz's face after the fight, you will see the answer. He even said it, Ortiz hits hard. The guy is a technical fighter with good power.

Yeah Ruiz like, bum rushes. That’s fine if someone like, Fury does it, who knows how to grapple, use his weight and fight on the inside and general rough house tactics, but Ruiz isn’t like that.
