Ruiz is a -300 against Ortiz!

I've seeing varying lines over -300 as high as -350. I thought this would be a closer fight at the window, but I forgot Ortiz had a rough go his last fight.

What do you guys think, should Ruiz be this favored to win?

He should be. Oldtiz is like 60 and and looked terrible in a lesser opponent in Martin. I got ruiz by late ko

Ortiz getting dropped by punches that wouldn’t have dropped him at any point in his career tells me he’s finished. Ruiz by KO

Ortiz is the bigger and better boxer but I favour Ruiz based on youth.

That said can we really mention Ortiz's last performance and not take Ruiz's into consideration? He was dropped hard, hurt multiple times and looked terrible against a totally shot 41yr old Chris Arreola. Activity could also be a big factor and Ruiz isn't dedicated at the best of times.
Certainly not a fight I'd bet on.

Might be the right time to put some money on a draw.

It depends on what you think the reason was for Ortiz having no legs against Martin.

If it was due to a legitimate injury to one or both of his legs that has now healed, I favor Ortiz.

If it was simply because he's old then his legs aren't coming back (see: Povetkin in both fights against Whyte) and he'll probably get stopped.

Almost nobody I know whose opinion I respect is picking Ruiz to win. Take that however you like.

Lol Ortiz legs are gone. I see Ruiz taking it as well. Predict UD.

I am a fan of both guys but this fight should be similar to the Arreola fight... ortiz is fantastic but his legs are vulnerable to a prolonged fight, we saw it with martin. Ruiz is a lot better than Martin.

                    Hello, Dan. Long time.

I like your reasoning here. I guess what I would say is, if both men come in at their best, Ruiz should be favored. Ortiz, no matter how well-conditioned and prepared he may be, will still be old.
