That said can we really mention Ortiz's last performance and not take Ruiz's into consideration? He was dropped hard, hurt multiple times and looked terrible against a totally shot 41yr old Chris Arreola. Activity could also be a big factor and Ruiz isn't dedicated at the best of times.
Certainly not a fight I'd bet on.
Ruiz wasn’t dropped hard and though he took some pretty good shots he was never really hurt. Arreola was in great shape, better shape than anytime since his 20s.

Definitely going to put some money down on Ruiz. When you're ten years older than you claim, yeah you're going to look terrible even against bums like Martin.

Which is sad but true. Arreola’s best years lacked dedication. Ruiz could learn much from Christobal’s bad example.

How so, do you mean his weight or his schedule?

These are not unrelated. Show up at the gym regularly like it’s your job, which it is. Eat like an athlete, which you also are. From all appearances, Arreola didn’t figure this out till his career was nearly done.

You got me looking at his record and his fight schedule was pretty good, even after losing.

He's a pretty dumb guy and I wonder what would have happened if he had better trainer. Could be too, he's just not cut the same cloth as the real deals.

I like you because you are knowledge about the facts from what I remember about your posts. I don't know where these people get their information. There are many articles that are misleading also so I don't blame the fans totally. But if they watch the fight they will see the truth. Ruiz hit the mat with his right knee and left glove early in the second. Early in the third round he was knocked off balance.

Watch the fight. Ruiz right knee and left glove hit the canvas in the second. In the third he was knocked backwards off balance.
