Floyd was good, he was unbeaten, but even with unbeaten record you can still not convince people and still have people think your overated whether your floyd, Tyson fury or usyk. I mean bloating jmm up 2 divisions was a cherry pick, but as people weren't sold on Floyd im sure many thought jmm would beat floyd still. I'm sure many thought 38 year old ssm would beat floyd, for no reason other than they thought Floyd weren't that good.So Floyd surprising some people by beating jmm or ssm, Floyd was in fact better than some detractors thought. But that's not saying much, as you should be beating 39 year olds, or guys 3 divisions naturally smaller.
Floyd s good, top 30 all time is no small feat, what more can we say?

You cannot rationalize anything, you cannot reference one guy to another, you cannot look at all the circumstances because you don't have the knowledge to understand the components, you are a fanboy/hater that's your entire vocabulary so you say things that have NO bases grounded in fact, you're ALL fan talk.

I'm just being objective. Smaller boxers had to come up to him, he waited till boxers got old, he ducked Margarito etc.

He did what he had to do, I don't blame him, but the man was a supreme boxer. Just wish he left no question marks, but that's not boxing anymore.
Floyd Mayweather was older than Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather was there for the taking, and was by far more eroded than Pacquiao. Floyd Mayweather was also older than Miguel Cotto.

Floyd Mayweather went to 154 pounds to face Oscar De La Hoya. Pacquiao brought De La Hoya down to 146 pounds.

It is easier for fighters to come up in weight, than to come down in weight.

Juan Manual Marquez was training harder, eating more, and was well prepared for Floyd Mayweather 'Marquez was having the time of his life'.

Floyd Mayweather was a champion, it makes no sense for him to drop back down in weight and challenge fighters 'Because fighters were challenging him, it was not the other way around'.

Still he gave all of his opponents optimal time to prepare, and he was pretty much the best thing that happened to them in their careers.

Canelo Alvarez routinely did not give his opponents optimal time to prepare, most drastically with Callum Smith & Sergey Kovalev.

You are not being objective, you are being subjective. You have got a issue, anybody who is critical on this forum can see that. What is it with Antonio Margarito? You can go through any fighters career and pull a opponents name out and say 'They ducked them'.

Floyd Mayweather Junior was a World Champion since he was 21 years of age, until his retirement. Champions don't wait mate, because they are the target.

Good enough to make a billion dollars in his career, become a legitimate 5 division champ, beat countless HOF level guys and retire 50-0.

"Which" Floyd are you asking about? And why?

Because...if you want to know how good "Pretty Boy" was...watch his fight against 'El Matador' Jesus Chavez . No other fighter in memory could or would do what Floyd did in that fight. He had to pull out every trick he had because Chavez kept coming forward. This is how Manny should have fought, with almost 100 punches per round like Chavez did.

This is the fight that exposed that Harold Lederman had NO idea how to score rounds.

Rounds 1&2 - Floyd boxes off the backfoot countering.

Round 3&4 - Floyd boxes off the backfoot but starts standing and trading in the booth

Round 5&6 - Floyd letting Chavez walk into counter uppercuts, check hooks and straight rights. Second half of Round 6 he starts boxing on the backfoot to frustrate Chavez into mistakes

Round 8 - Floyd gets tired of the constant assault and starts countering, then goes on the attack. You can tell after he goes the corner that he got pissed off.

Round 9 - Floyd eats a shot, gets pissed again and starts walking Chavez down, then stands in the booth tagging Chavez nearly at will to close the round. Chavez quits on the stool; demoralized that this man just wouldn't go away.

Our favorite Floyd Mayweather fight, because it forced him to make constant adjustments and showcase his diversity under pressure, which no other fighter has really done. Every other fight, he might have made one or two, like with Mosley where he just switched from defensive to heavy offensive.

Also, unlike Chino, Chavez was clean (I.e. not dirty) with his aggression.

You will clearly just see what you want to..

When you have to write 9 paragraphs to justify a boxer on a forum, you know it's not good.

                  it's just boxing, I don't get it.

Floyd really was amazing at 130. Perfect blend of speed, power, footwork, defense, and ring IQ.

Pretty Boy was cool. Money May cherrypicked all day.

Final fight was against a shot c fighter Andre Berto speaks volumes on how low risk he was.
