DAZN should fire Eddie Hearn.

Completely agree mate. Anybody with any sort have common sense can understand Hearn and DAZN f***ed up here.
Totally agree
People can say “Hearn never had the rights” or talk about the DAZN deal starting after the Usyk fight.
I think that’s irrelevant, AJ was out of contract and behind the scenes they knew he was going to DAZN. When negotiating the site fee with the Saudi’s, they should’ve locked AJ into a DAZN deal that states he can’t fight on any broadcaster other than DAZN and then put the ball in the Saudi’s court. It’s not exactly an uncommon thing when negotiating contracts for both parties to have strict stipulations on their own side that they can’t break I.e an exclusive broadcaster in the case of AJ. I’m sure a deal could have still been made to host the fight in Saudi with that part of the deal non negotiable.Comment

The offer from the Saudi's has been on the table for months. It could well have been made before AJ decided to leave Sky for DAZN and it probably was, given that DAZN negotiated a deal with him that won't begin until after he fights Usyk.

Also, Hearn's primary responsibility in staging this fight is to get the best deal possible for AJ and Usyk, not DAZN.

How's it factually incorrect? It just is. He didn't lose the rights, and he didn't bid for them. That's not spin just facts.
Why would he strike a site fee deal that included the Saudis taking on the rights... then go and bid for the rights he just sold!?!!
DAZN lost nothing. They had no deal with Joshua for this fight.
I'll accept that the setup is moderately complicated, but it's been explained to you a few times on this thread now. From this point it's down to you to inform yourself.

So you’re saying Hearn didn’t want DAZN to acquire rights for Usyk-AJ 2?

That’s complete nonsense.
Sky simply outbid them. Hearn f***ed up and DAZN have lost out on a massive chunk of revenue on a fight their employee is promoting. You guys need to stop shamelessly defending Hearn and just accept when he makes a mistake. It was exactly the same when he lost out on Fury-Whyte, you all said he he “didn’t want” to win that purse bid. It’s sheer delusion.

I honestly don't believe there was anything resembling a bidding process and this fight wasn't going to be held anywhere but Saudi Arabia.

Hearn is essentially a SPIV con artist. There have a been thousands before him in the UK and there will be a thousand more. He reminds me of Boris. What always blows my mind if how people like you continue to fall for his shtick.Comment

Yep. It's founder, Leonard Bravatnik, injected another $4.5 billion dollars into it. I mean the spiralling commodities prices likely mean he has money to blow right now but it seems like a futile effort. Streaming seems to be floundering in recent times. It just doesn't have the same pull it did during the pandemic and people don't want to be paying for Prime, Netflix, Disney+ and a host of others at the same time. They attempted a purchase of BT Sport but that fell through too...likely due to a lack of transparency about their numbers. I won't say they're a failing business, but at this point it doesn't seem like anything more than Bravatniks way of buying media influence.Comment
