DAZN should fire Eddie Hearn.

Sports streaming simply doesn’t have the watchability of Netflix, Prime etc IMO. You can rewatch a film or series multiple times you’re not likely to do that with sport as the USP of sport is that it’s live and that’s generally what generates interest and excitement.
Yep. It's founder, Leonard Bravatnik, injected another $4.5 billion dollars into it. I mean the spiralling commodities prices likely mean he has money to blow right now but it seems like a futile effort. Streaming seems to be floundering in recent times. It just doesn't have the same pull it did during the pandemic and people don't want to be paying for Prime, Netflix, Disney+ and a host of others at the same time. They attempted a purchase of BT Sport but that fell through too...likely due to a lack of transparency about their numbers. I won't say they're a failing business, but at this point it doesn't seem like anything more than Bravatniks way of buying media influence.Comment

If Hearn really could pull off the kind of spectacular mass manipulation con tricks that guys like you and RJJ-94-02=GOAT credit him with he would be more like Derren Brown X 1000 than bumbling Boris!
I honestly don't believe there was anything resembling a bidding process and this fight wasn't going to be held anywhere but Saudi Arabia.
Hearn is essentially a SPIV con artist. There have a been thousands before him in the UK and there will be a thousand more. He reminds me of Boris. What always blows my mind if how people like you continue to fall for his shtick.
For around 6 months Eddie has talking about offers to stage the fight coming in from all over the world, including a huge bid from the Middle East. He's been name dropping Usyk's promoter and manager, saying he's shown them the offers and it will be up to them and AJ's management team to decide which site offer is accepted.
Then after the Saudi offer was accepted he started talking about numerous platforms, including DAZN, Sky and the BBC, negotiating with a Saudi business consortium about who gets the UK screening rights.
He did all that talking on the record in interviews with sports journalists and YT channels from all over the world. If he was lying, how come none of the people he lied about called him out on it?
How would he pull off tricks like that? Mass hypnosis via subliminal messages hidden in IFL videos maybe?Last edited by kafkod; 07-12-2022, 09:18 AM.Comment

Essentially. I think this might count for live sports in general. As you rightly say, you can't really replicate that excitement for a live event when rewatching it which is different for movies. And, even then, the resurgence of cinema with films like Top Gun Maverick may mean that people aren't all that keen only sitting in front of Netflix either.

Lol as said he did the same bull**** last year claiming the Joshua Fury fight was "two weeks away" only for it turn out there was no chance of that fight happening due to Wilders arbitration ruling. Eddie was either too ****** to know that am arbitration can obviously kill off a potential fight you have with a fighter involved in it or he was simply bull****ting knowing full well arbitration would create issues.

As said. How do you fall for this dudes nonsense?
What confirmation do you have of any other site offers? I mean how do you confirm really anything except for using Eddie as a source? Why are you conflating my scepticism on site offers with talk of broadcasting rights?
I used to get annoyed at Hearn fanboys but at this point I just feel kinda sorry for you. Half of youtube calls out Hearn for his nonsense every day.Comment

This comment speaks volumes about how hopelessly biased you are.

Why were Eddie Hearn, Tyson Fury, John Fury and Frank Warren all saying that the arbitration couldn't stop Fury from fighting AJ?
Why did did Tyson Fury post a video saying the AJ fight was 100% happening and personally thanking the Saudi Crown Prince for helping to make it happen?
Because they all believed what Bob Arum was telling them, that's why.
I heard Arum, in multiple interviews, saying there was no way the arbitration could stop Fury from fighting AJ. And when it turned out that Arum was lying, your response is to blame Eddie Hearn for believing him. Unbefuckinglievable!

Hatman is a million miles away from being an AJ/Matchroom fanboy.
I watched the video he put out about Sky winning the UK screening rights, and I never heard him blaming Hearn for it.
Maybe you're a member of his patreon and he said it there, rather than on YT?

They take Eddie’s word as gospel. They can’t be educated even when they’re proven wrong time and time again.

I remember various posters like us telling them all Fury-AJ was not going to happen but they insisted it would because “Eddie said this, Eddie said that”. Then when Hearn failed to deliver that fight, “it wasn’t his fault”, “he did all he could” etc etc. It’s honestly laughable, Hearn consistently over-promises then under-delivers yet the same gullible parrots still lap up his schtick time and time again.Comment
