Most people are ****ing idiots. Is that seriously what you base an assessment of skill on? "Most people?" Most people thought Joshua was a favourite against Usyk when it was clear as day how inferior he was. Most people thought Wilder Fury 1 was a foregone conclusion when it was obvious how lacking Wilders skillset was.
This Era has a solid No. 2 Heavyweight - And it Ain't Anthony Joshua!

I agree Willow The Wisp. Joshua is neither top 3 fighter nor bodybuilder.
Top 3 fighters: Fury, Usyk, Wilder
Top 3 bodybuilders: Thor, Eddie, Wilder

I think Ruiz beating Joshua is the greatest Heavyweight win of the past 20 years. Either way, its a good point cause when you really think about it there arent manny heavyweight wins in the last 20 years that are betterNo matter how hard people try, nobody can discredit Joshua's resume. Yes he has been beaten, but he avenged his loss to Ruiz Junior.
And if he beats Usyk in the rematch 'It will be the greatest Heavyweight win of the past 20 years'.
Usyk is at his peak, a Olympic Champion, Undisputed Cruiser weight World Champion, and current WBA, WBO, IBF & IBO World Heavyweight Champion.
That will be two super elite wins on Joshua's resume, which are Kiltschko & Usyk. Combined that with his resume of world class fighters, he will have the best resume in the heavyweight division.
This should not happen, but it can potentially happen. The reason why I say, that it should not happen is because 'Tyson Fury has all the ability to take on all comers, and deepen his resume' But as you all know, Fury is not concerned with such obligations.

No I was not basing an assessment of skill on that. I was making a point that reasonable arguments could be made for several fighters being the #2 heavyweight in this era.Comment

Firstly it's actually not facts. It's just your opinion on how each fighter is rated and how a resume should be measured.
As for critiquing your points system, one thing I'm not so sure about the bonus points you have awarded for the lesser opponents. I would also query the fact that you gave Wilder 10 points for a (gift) draw. Surely wins should be worth more than draws? I'm also not sure I agree with the points you have taken off the fighters for their losses. For example Wilder was stopped against Fury twice yet only lost 6 and 7 points whereas Joshua is deducted 8 points for losing via decision.
Lastly, most people would say Joshua has a better resume than Wilder and Usyk beat Joshua so you could conceivable say Usyk is #2. Overall I'd say this means Wilder definitely isn't a solid #2. Arguably #2 but far from solid. I know this place is for debating but these guys need to actually fight each other to establish a pecking order because at this point there's not enough separating them.[/QUOTE]
That's fair. I'd argue that a draw (regardless of your disagreement with the judges), a classic WAR and a sound beating against the acknowledged no. 1 guy should not deduct as many merit points as two sound beatings against two big underdogs. That should be strait forward. All the lesser opponents are guys that anyone on their way to the top would be expected to beat, which both guys did. I give Wilder a very small credit for having blown away more than twice as many, on his way to a record setting KO ratio among Heavyweight title claimants.
I think that instead, what would be meaningful to bolster your counter-argument is an argument that reads something like: "why does Charles and Dillian Whyte earn only an 8 while you give Luis Ortiz a 9, according to your non-factual opinion". That's a discussion worth having. Only this time, come ready (just kidding, relax).Comment

After Usyk outhustles A.J. again and makes him a 2 wins and 3 loss fighter in his last 5, maybe Wilder will look for an easy, big money fight and give the media creation ex-beltholder a last title shot in London!!!!!! Stay tuned for reality to unfold. And remember....Facts don't care about your feelings!!!!!

It goes by the refs count though
If the ref counted slower or faster, Fury would’ve still waited until there was time to get up, he was just going by the refs count
Fury has already said he was ok and didn’t get up straight away just to make sure he was ok when he did, so he had his wits about him, considering he won the rest of the round.
So the real time clock or refs count is really irrelevant , Fury was ok and just followed the refs count. If the count was faster, he would’ve still got up.Comment
