Those were 2 great wins, I can't lie. After that though, it was just money milking and marketing from the UFC. Not going to count the first fight with Usman, since he stepped in for someone on short notice. But no way was he deserving of a rematch with Usman, or the Covington fight. Jorge isn't even top 5 ranked.

UFC just rode the story and hype behind this "BMF" persona that they intelligently created with the help of Jorges 5 second KO. And when the Usman rematch/Covington fight both happened, we all saw that Jorge was just a front runner. UFC will continue to market and monetize his tough guy persona, which the casual mma fanbase will continue to eat up. But reality is that Jorge is food for all of the top level welterweights, and smart mma fans know this

With saying that, Jorge is dumb enough to get into a fire fight against Jake, who's 20 pounds bigger and a better puncher. In no way is Jake any good imo, but Jorge is dumb enough to make Jake look better than he actually is

I wouldnt be super confident of Anderson beating Jake Paul now purely because hes nearly 50. I'd still favour him but it wouldnt be a risk free fight.

Its all just a vanity project for Jake anyway. I respect the work hes put in and it is kind of impressive what hes done, but putting it in perspective its an athletic kid in his physical prime who has spent 3+ years extensively training pure boxing while having access to good coaches, resources and sparring partners. Then hes fighting older, smaller people who dont dedicate as many hours of the day to boxing training, and the boxing they do train is somewhat adapted for an MMA context.

Time to box a boxer or come to MMA.

Silva resume also trash, but much better than Paul.

        Simple enough?
If Jake was to fight and beat Chavez Jr next Jake would honestly have a much better resume.

Silva's only other wins are against some guy they dragged off the street and Tito Ortiz. He lost to the only other actual boxer he faced by TKO in one round.

Yeah everything after the Askren win was Jorge and the UFC riding the wave from that hot few months he had pretty much. Tbh though, they actually ****ed up if anything, Jorge/Conor in late 2019/early 2020 would have done absolutely monstrous business, pretty much guaranteed their second biggest drawing PPV ever, maybe even first. Instead they throw Jorge in to an almost guaranteed loss vs Usman, then do it again, and then again with Colby. Such a missed opportunity.

            Jake's resume is
            a Youtuber
            a basketball player
            a wrestler
            another wrestler
            the same wrestler

If he beats JCC Jr, it's pretty much the same as Silva's resume. If he were to STOP JCC Jr, then I'd agree his resume beats Silva's. But getting stopped after one round against a legitimate 8-2 fighter like Silva did is still better experience than knocking out guys who have literally never been in a fight like the social media guy or the basketball player. You can't give Jake credit for beating JCC Jr until and unless he actually does it.

Regardless of a cvnts ''discipline'', throwing a punch will be the 1st move 19.99999999x out 20 in the street.

AFTER the punch lands on the paper mache jaw of an MMA guy, that guy is zombified.
                  A dead man walking.

The hysterical part is, a decent boxer won't even need to put much behind the punch.

There is very little artistry on display under controlled MMA fights.
It will resemble girls fighting if you take the ref away.

                    - - Jake already KOed Tommy, Tyson, and Big John Fury with nary a punch thrown, so the clown show gonna continue wif Jake also an up and coming promoter.

Jake pulling down the pants of Boxing to make them all shriek and cry and fall down turning blue like The Terrible Twos...priceless...

None of the skills you posted matters when you're boxing. That's why he didn't pursue a career in boxing.

Until a kicker PROVES they can beat guys above shot Jr level, I will go on picking the boxer.
Actually you can bet on speculative fights on certain books. If the fight doesn't happen by a set date they return your stake. Seems pretty ****** to have money tied up to a fight that could possibly happen. Unless you had inside info and good odds I guess..

And for arugments sake Chris Algieri's win over Provodnikov was above shot JCC Jr level. Some people might say he was shot post Bradley fight but I wouldnt necessarily agree and he did become a world champion after briefly. Also never quit and had mad heart etc.
