that 80/20 split will stick but we’ve seen crazier things like a promo used undisputed not taking place but that’s was a few reasons .

Fury never attempted any step aside offers to Wilder and Arum flat out lied and never mentioned him not terminating any contractual agreements with Wilder which ultimately was the problem.

That’s beating a dead horse though this situation is very simple it’s a split of 80/20 that’s it and one I can’t see sticking by any means it’s why they set a deadline before arbitration is up . I can say it because it’s a U.K fight the fight cannot be done without Whyte so it’s a really strange should we see a final ruling of 80/20 .

I just hope the fight gets signed and it doesn’t go there because now with winning purse bids they probably can’t afford any more then the split they insisted on and would then fork over a larger amount to Whyte where Fury they didn’t need to and still owe him whatever share he agreed to ?

I would disagree with the A.J situation, even if he lost to Usyk again it barely damages his drawing power ,should he win he creates even more a driving force behind him . Not every heavyweight champion has lost and come back to face every guy they lost to ,this is why I find it hard to believe Whyte gets Usyk but again I’ve seen strange things on here ,yes it’s a good chess move but it only really helps Whyte who I still believe gives Fury fits and Fury insisting on a Ngannou fight has another potential over look of an opponent all over it ,with Whyte that’s not exactly a good idea .
Great info. Yeah AJ is a draw just like De La Hoya always was going to be a draw. Mayweather owes his own legacy as a draw to De La Hoya. AJ has that gift.
Whyte may be aware that one way to get under Fury's skin is to draw the contract deadlines out lol... All is fair in love and war... thats pretty smart if Whyte is doing this to haraung Fury lol.

Yeah Whyte is probably drawing it out as long as possible.

i doubt anybody will be too bothered by it though, I imagine the lawyers behind the scenes are talking and know whether it’s being signed or not. I guess we’ll find out.

Whyte is a pretty stubborn guy though, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if he’s just unhappy with the WBC and the split and won’t take it.

i still believe the fact he hasn’t signed yet is at least partly because there’s talks of other offers behind the scenes. Eddie can’t really afford to have his biggest draws staying with Sky, or fighting on BT for this one and making them big offers to be with DAZN. As it stands, AJ might stay with Sky and Whyte has been having the guy from Boxxer/Sky representing him recently, they’re his two biggest in the UK. DAZN UK isn’t going great without them and they’ve also just lost a huge partnership deal.

Looking on Furys Twitter is pretty funny the U.K fans are all glued to the clock waiting for it to be announced. My guess is they are actually working on the extension in that case wonder what Fury could do if anything about it if Whyte is granted until arbitration is officially over ? It would be great just for an announcement of a deal being reached I think it’s about up ? But are they doing it U.K time or our time ? Who knows but if Whytes silent all this time a deal must still be ongoing or a decision process is going on now .

That fight makes zero sense for Usyk. Whyte is nobody.

usyk is chasing Fury or Joshua rematch.

Don't buy into the Shalom stuff. It was a purse bid - he was entirely right to have a look at whether Sky/Boxxer could come up with something. And then he didn't submit an offer. It's a non event that some fool turned into a nonsensical article for BoxingScene (even worse that it was published in my opinion).

And for the partnership, do you mean BT Sports? They pulled out of the deal to acquire them, that's different to losing a partnership deal.

Shalom contacted Fury’s team on behalf of Whyte, trying to do a deal before purse bid

If he was doing it on behalf of Whyte, who is a free agent, then there’s at least some foundation there that could see them working together in future.

Why wouldn’t Whyte be tempted? Sky are still bigger than DAZN. As a free agent, he will and should go where benefits him most. It could be Sky.

Possibly. But anyone could have done that - the fight was on the open market to be presented to the fighters. Triller could have made representations.

The fact that Shalom is working for Sky is probably a greater indication that Whyte could end up with him, as opposed to any purse bid shenanigans. They're the biggest sports broadcaster and he's a free agent. They have to be in the mix

The fight wasn’t on the open market at that point. They are still in negotiation stage until the minute purse bids are put in, basically.

So they give you 30 days or so to negotiate a deal with both teams representatives, and Shalom contacted in the negotiation stage representing Whyte. That’s why it was a bit of a story, because he was actually representing him during the negotiation period, if only briefly.
