You haven't heard shit you lying clown. Just like when you said Joshua was going to vacate the WBO and not take the Usyk fight. You just cook up a scenario and claim "you heard" or "a good source" told you. GTFOH.
Maybe this story about Eddie trying to tempt Whyte with a big fight is a way to keep him
on DAZN
apparently Shalom from sky was doing some representation for Whyte during the purse bids, which could be a sign Whyte could head to Sky after the Fury fight on BT.
factor in that AJ could still fight on Sky, then Eddie would lose his two biggest British draws to Sky, both heavyweights. Well AJ always has been Sky anyway.
so maybe it’s some Hail Mary attempt from
Hearn to get Whyte to stick with DAZN by offering him some ridiculous money.
I think DAZN UK is floundering a bit, they lost their BT deal which means no football etc. their biggest UK boxer is probably Whyte and he seems to be working with this Shalom guy from Boxxer in the background, Whyte is a free agent anyway . If AJ sticks with Sky, I think DAZN UK is going to be treading water.
Whyte and Sky are definitely in contact. I think it’s simply a case of Whyte realising he has far greater financial prospects with the Sky model rather than DAZN. People need to realise Sky is what made AJ, Whyte etc PPV stars not Eddie. I think DAZN have realised that now having seen how poor their numbers are in the UK. That’s not me being anti-Eddie either, Sky made Naz, Hatton etc PPV stars not Frank, it’s how it’s always worked. Sky is the hub of both multimedia and sports in the UK.
As for Usyk fighting Whyte, I just can’t see it. Usyk would be ****** not to force AJ into a mega-money rematch that the people behind AJ want no part of IMO and if AJ does forego his rematch then why waste time with Whyte? You’d obviously just go straight into a mega-money matchup with Fury for all the marbles.
Spot on about DAZN UK. As I’ve said from day one with DAZN UK, without football they’re essentially irrelevant. At this point how does DAZN UK differ from what Boxnation were doing 10 years ago? Boxnation actually had a better product portfolio too despite a considerably lower budget, they were consistently showing Mayweather, Pacquiao, Cotto, Canelo, Hopkins, Khan etc.
Usyk is a brave man who will fight anybody. At first I thought he was overrated. But then he dominated a big puncher named Murat Gassev to win the super 6 and become undisputed. Afterwards he made history when he defended all 4 belts against Tony Bellew and ended the fight with a spectacular KO. When he moved to heavyweight he got bullied around by Derek Chisora, and I myself though he would be crazy to take the AJ fight. But then in one of the best upsets of the year gave us a spectacular boxing masterclass to dominate Joshua and win 3 belts at heavyweight making history again. One thing I bet you didn't know about Usyk is that his favorite fighter is Terence Bud Crawford, the p4p king. He never misses a Crawford fight, they are good friends, and he thinks Bud is the best fighter in boxing.

That’s the thing, I understand Eddie wanting to build this global network, so you’re getting fights from all over the world, but the problem is that you need consistently good fights under your own stable for it to work, because that’s all you have.
As you say, BoxNation was buying rights from all US promoters and broadcasters. So even if Warren’s UK shows were not always great, you had much better international content because they didn’t limit themselves. Until they stopped of curse and went downhill fast.
Right now, apart from the odd Canelo fight, DAZN is barely any better than that Fite TV app.
the concept I don’t mind, but without the huge media machine like Sky behind it, the only way to keep DAZN in the public eye is having real stars on it. The avid boxing fans like us might be interested in Haney fights or something, but it’s really the casuals that keep businesses going, otherwise you end up like BoxNation.

Yeah to put it bluntly to they have absolutely nothing to drive continuous subscriptions. People might subscribe to for Canelo or AJ but how do you keep them for the other 9 months? The answer is you don’t. That’s why the PPV model is far more suitable for boxing content. You can smash-and-grab with the revenue.
I actually do like the concept but it was just never going to be sustainable and that was obvious from day one.

There is a brief interview, maybe you've seen it, during which a reporter asks Usyk about the photo of he and Bud playing chess, and who won. Usyk responds (through an interpreter), "Oh, Terence won. He is much better at chess than me."
