IMO he's been fighting slick fighters. Plant and Saunders are slick. So is Bivol with zero pop like those guys. I'm done with watching Canelo fight those types. Give me ****ers like Charlo, Benavidez, and Biev

      - - Been following modern boxing awhile, and the only controversy over the fight was the narrow window, 9 weeks, of Kov's last fight that was quite easy for him. The Canelo fight had been mooted before that fight.

Feel free to provide legit substantiation of a rehydration clause for Canelo/Kov as compared to their last few fightnite weights for comparison. IBF/WBC the only org having next day weight limitations I'm aware of and even then the fighters have several more hours to rehydrate to their fight night weights.

He was almost out on his feet the round (or 2 rounds) before he stopped Yarde. Buddy warned him that he was going to stop the fight. Yarde was hungry that night, didnt want to take step aside money for the Kov - Clen bout, I'm talking more than a million checkout the Frank Warren interview.

Still a better resume than Golovkin. If GGG fight Canelo again. He's going to be KTFO

It is what it is, speaking of divisions over super middleweight, Canelo is unimportant fighter.

If he wants to change that, he must fight legit guys at 175 or a legit cruiserweight champ.
You are right. Just wait till Crawford fight Spence and defeat him. He's going to knock that 168 feat of Canelo's out of the ball park. That would make Bud Crawford a two time multi-division crown holder which is unheard of. He will then be considered P4P the best fighter of this generation.

Chavez Jr found out the hard way that 168-175 fighters were too much for him. He made his way down from the 170ish lbs to the mid 160s, culminating with the 164lb catchweight vs Canelo. Let’s not pretend like Chavez Jr wanted no part of 168-175.

I don’t remember you having any issues with Pacquiao vs Cotto at 145lbs and Pacquiao vs Margarito at 150lbs. Why take issue with Canelo’s
              rehydration clause?
I had and still have big issues with Pacquiao and his catch weight titles. So put me on a list of people that complained that the titles were bogus..
Add in the Ray Leonard and Donney Lalonde fight. I enjoyed the fight and I give credit to Leonard for coming back and stopping Lalonde when it looked like he was going to get beat but the dual title win wasn't a legitimate win in my mind. As far as Chavez goes his struggles with making weight are well documented. Generally it's his fault but at the same time most people realized that this catch weight was going to hinder his performance. He clearly is not as good as Canelo and with this restriction he had only a snowball chance in hell of not melting down..

Canelo fight Benevidez or Beterbiev next enough with careful match making. Tired of seeing Canelo be 10-1 favorite over garbage champs, Canelo is good but his opponents are weak.

Both Benevidez and Beterbiev won’t be fighting that timid cutesy boxing style, both of those fighters are coming at you until they are stopped. Canelo don’t want to go through a war ever since the GGG fights.

Canelo-Benavidez would be the Mexican super bowl of boxing in May or September. Fight sells like crazy and we boxing fans win. Enough of the Canelo fan excuses as well

Which ever critic was talking about Canelo will duck Lara and GGG, are the same one’s today saying he is ducking Benavidez and Beterbiev. They have zero intentions of giving Canelo any credit for facing and/or beating those two.

Canelo has been in 6 fights vs 5 fighters his critics said he would duck.

To understand the Canelo critics, we need to think like them:

His critics aren’t going to become honest human beings out of the blue, because Canelo fights the great Benavidez with his resume full of ATG’s and his KO’s over the best 168 fighters of the last decade. Of course, that’s an exaggeration.

Canelo critics will not have a change of heart for Canelo if he ends up fighting and beating the 36 year old KO artist, Beterbiev, citing his age and inactivity, we well as “taking too long to stop Browne”.

Canelo will also certainly not get his critics to like him with a win over the light punching Bivol.

Even if he fights Beterbiev, Bivol, and Benavidez in 2022-2023, there will be issues. If he fights Benavidez in 2022, and not Beterbiev, he cherrypicked Benavidez because he knows he’s “green” and if he waits any longer he would have had to fight a “prime” Benavidez.

If he fights Beterbiev in 2022, but not Benavidez, he cherrypiecked Beterbiev because he showed signs of slowing down vs Browne and so Canelo is capitalizing on Beterbiev looking like he’s done before someone else does.

And well, if Canelo fights Bivol in 2022, but waits until 2023 to fight Beterbiev and Benavidez, again, Beterbiev would be too old and Benavidez would be past prime and no longer his dangerous 2021 self.

Canelo critics have it all covered. Canelo can fight and beat Super Saiyan Goku level 1 and they will just say Canelo needs to beat Super Saiyan Goku level 2 or the win doesn’t count.
The evidence are the dozens of people who post on here every and and say that I didnt think he would fight GGG and thought he'd get his ass beat who say now I'm a fan

So if Canelo wins you gonna say he was OLD! Look bad his last fight.
Joe Smith got dominated that fight like he'd never been dominated in his life, give me a break man he landed 30 punches in 12 rounds. Realize how bad that is?
