His euro tour through 168 has been laughable. Callum Smith got his ass beat up by John Ryder, the fight before Canelo but was gifted a decision. He is just a big cream puff. Saunders only had a few fights at 168, and won the vacant belt off a nobody. Plant is mediocre at best. Kovalev looked like my dad in there. All just a charade but sadly its working.

It is what it is, speaking of divisions over super middleweight, Canelo is unimportant fighter.

If he wants to change that, he must fight legit guys at 175 or a legit cruiserweight champ.
      - - Yup, Canelo gonna hop to whatever JokeTheVaxxer tells him in U wet dreams...only on BS...

If GGG's career trajectory (HA !) is impressive, Nelo kills that

No true non casual fan in their right mind thought that Kovalev was as dangerous as those 2 or Bivol. His #1 ranking came from what he historically did had nothing to do with the fact that he was now chinny got KOd by Alvarez, almost KOd by Yarde. Anyone being honest wth themselves knows the real power rankings at 175 were Beterbiev, Bivol, Gvozdyk all ahead of Kovalev. Canelo knew this too, he wasn't ******. Andre Ward more or less vanquished the Krusher during their first fight and broke his soul in the second fight. The Sergey Kovalev we all know was gone.

          2) Canelo was a -420 favorite to beat Kovalev, that's not much of a legitimate threat. Compare that to GGG where Canelo was +125 in the second fight.

          3) Nobody who is being honest with themselves was saying that the Kovalev who fought well in the second Alvarez fight, but tentative behind a jab, or the Kovalev who fought well against Yarde, but almost got KOd and once again showed a very poor ability to deal wth adversity in round 8, wasn't shot.

          4) He COULD beat Beterbiev and Bivol but we need to see it to believe it.
Yes, but after Canelo beats Bivol and Beterbiev; Beterbiev will be old and shot, Bivol’s weak power punching will be brought up as a reason Canelo fought him. Overall, Canelo will end up cherrypicking Beterbiev and Bivol if he fights one of them in 2022.

Canelo was supposed to duck Trout, Lara, GGG twice, Daniel Jacobs, and Callum Smith. Canelo was accused of ducking all of the above names by the usual suspects. Callum Smith was supposed to be too big, too tall, and biting off more than he could chew.

Today, all is forgotten. Canelo is now one of the biggest ducks in boxing, and he is shaking in fear of Beterbiev and Bivol’s names. Until he fights one of them, then they will become whatever Canelo critics want them to become. Old, weak, green, shot, exposed, never fought elite opposition. Then on to Mairis Breidis and Canelo being afraid of him.

Beterbiev is a bad man. So is Bivol. I think any non-biased fan looking at it totally neutral would say that anyone is a fool to compare BJS, Plant, Smith to those 2.

You have doubters each fight. You may not win most of them over, but you win SOME over which is all that matters. I see tons of guys on here say they thought Canelo would lose to GGG but they were proven wrong and now are big Canelo fans. GGG was always a bit overrated to me, but Artuer Beterbev is not. I never understood why GGG was on the p4p list but Beterbiev isn't.

He is in the History Books as the only Undisputed 168 Champion EVER...

all this HATE pouring in for Canelo after he makes history is INTERESTING to me, a lot of Legends really coming after him making little comments all of a sudden is "INTERESTING" some jealousy maybe? Absolutely! Legends come out and do this to all of the fighters who are on top. Sad to see Mayweather now doing it to Canelo when they did the exact same to him when he was on top. A lot of Envy in this sport, guys just can't accept the fact that their time on top has come and gone and that fans are able to move on and enjoy boxing without them

It is always interesting to see how fighters are/were disregarded as being bums or nobodies by certain guys, suddenly become good fighters once their fighter beats them.

Let's be real, did you give Terence Crawford and Usyk the same type of celebration after they became undisputed?

Absolutely! If I had a P4P Ranking of my own, that would be my Top 3: Canelo, Bud, Usyk so...YEAH!

Leading up to the fight, Kovalev was good enough to 1. Take his belt back from Eleider Alvarez in a rematch where he won almost every round. 2. KO Anthony Yarde. & 3. Become the #2 LHW by The Ring.

Kovalev was not only seen as a legitimate threat by Canelo critics. But he was seen as such a big threat by fans like you, that you predicted Canelo would drain him and not fighting him at the full 175lb limit.

Of course after the fight, Kovalev became shot.

Lastly, Canelo Alvarez LHW career has not taken off yet, as he only has 1 fight there. And his 1 fight at 175 was a better win than his rivals have on their record.

                      Great post
