I've read alot of rationalizing in favor of Whyte's actions. I agree that boxing is a business and he should look for the fight that is most beneficial for his career. I understand he went from a high risk/low reward fight to potentially a high reward fight.
Not sure why he even signed for the fight in the first place. He stated in his post fight interview after Povetkin 2 that he wanted an easy fight. He should have stuck to that statement.
Additionally, as Whyte is entitled to do what's in his best financial interest so too is Wallin. I'm sure he spent a good deal for this camp. If wants to try and get proof of injury, he's allowed to seek it. Fury is a big opportunity for Whyte but Whyte was a big opportunity for Wallin.
