Not a fan of Wilder by a long shot and this man's prediction on the fight outcome will prove right, but I think its really sad when ex-pros of any sport centre themselves in relation to current sporting events because it tells me they haven't let go of the past. Decent ex-sportsman should absolutely be listened to for their experience, but making it about yourself is just narcissism.

Carl Froch does it. David Haye does it a LOT.

These guys have gotta move on; their time's over.
Lennox was one of my favourites of all time but his only real weakness was arrogance. It cost him dearly against McCall & especially against Rahman. He had no business losing to Rahman & he totally obliterated him in the rematch. He never bothered to train & was too busy mingling with Oceans 11cast & showed up in South Africa a week before the fight. The McCall KO he forever claimed it was a lucky punch then finally gave McCall credit a few years ago & said it was a solid shot that got him.

I remember on an HBO telecast him & Max Kellerman were discussing his fight with Mirovic. Lennox said “He trained for 2 years to fight me” & Max replied “How long was your training camp?” Lennox just laughed…

well Ali was sentenced to 5 yrs but overall wasn’t allowed to box for 3. Not sure what you mean by he wasn’t the only one anti Vietnam. Fury isn’t the only one who has battled depression and drug use. I like fury and appreciate his comeback but Ali losing his livelihood hood and what he stood for was more significant to me and coming back to face guys like Frazier and foreman for me hold more weight than facing wilder and Otto wallin. Separately we can also talk about Leonard retiring from boxing due to an eye injury and coming back after 3 years and going straight into a fight with arguably the best fighter in the world at that time in hagler and beating him.

Vinny Paz made one hell of a comeback too IMO

I thought about him too. Broken neck in a car accident. The only they could say is the opposition he beat after wasn’t too great but still credible. Having the balls to face a prime Roy Jones after that deserves a ton of credit though.

That’s rubbish, yes he used his weight to tire his opponents out but he also had a decent inside game. Admittedly not much body work but a ferocious uppercut and could fire rapid bursts of uppercuts and short hooks on the inside.

As of now, AJ has faced the better HW competition overall. Despite his own losses, I still think AJ's legacy is probably higher in comparison to Fury. AJ also had a more impressive win over an aging Wlad. Eitherway, no way does Fury have any ATG status yet. He still has a long way to go. Face some of those B+ heavyweights and take care of them similar to how AJ did. There is a chance, one of those can even knock him off. Face the likes of Povetkin, Whyte, Parker, etc. They all have a chance. Fury just talks a lot like he would win without actually proving it. Then his minions just believe him and rather not see him prove that.
AJ you mean are new frank bruno no stamina and chinny

being stressed and feeling trapped is the door to being free and happy, find the solution or get out of the situation, sit back & enjoy (if that fails and u are still not happy take up swimming, boxing training is great but swimming for an hour regularly is a secret only swimmers know about)

I think Fury had a Ward v Kovalev moment after being knocked down by Wilder and going after him, realising he could make the fight a lot easier for himself by coming forward as his opponent couldn’t fight going backwards and has no inside game.

I think these revelatory moments dictated the strategy for the rematch for both Ward and Fury.
