I really believe race comes into play when it comes to talks of Fury being an all-time heavyweight great. He looks terrible in the ring, just like most of today's heavyweights. Who has he beaten? Who is on his resume? It's almost a given in most people's minds that Fury is going to run through Wilder. I'm sorry but as badly as Fury beat Wilder in their second fight, I see Wilder knocking Fury out in fight 3. And me being Black, could I be slightly biased? Possibly.....But when I look at Fury VS Wilder 1, as much as it was established that Fury is a better boxer (which is not saying much), he got dropped twice - and on one occasion looked like he was done. And when I look at Fury VS Wilder 2, Wilder looked off, and his equilibrium was terribly off - he was bleeding from both ears. I don't think he is gonna be in a bad way like in fight number 2. I believe he is going to find a way to touch up Fury again. If Fury can handle Wilder's wild punches, beat Joshua, beat Ruiz, and then beat Usyk.....then maybe there can be discussions about him being an all-time great heavyweight. Until then, there's an Ali, a Tyson, a Holyfield, a Marciano, and a Louis that's ranked higher.

I guess you’re the condescending type like your mauling hero that’s incorporated MMA to his arsenal to support his take on boxing.
But what do you say about a guy who has demonstrated very little improvement (maybe till now) in his skillset? Overconfident? In his ability to flatten his way out of fights, sure. Lazy? 100%.
If you're not willing to improve your artform by (a) engaging in honest introspection (b) identifying your flaws and (c) trying to correct them, you're probably lazy. This process requires that you rip yourself out of your comfort zone.
If he gets the result tomorrow night, then I'm willing to hear that he's followed the above steps, but is hiring your mate as head trainer really getting out of that comfort zone?

If you're going to start off with a ****er, follow up and explain what you mean. I reread your comment twice looking for an explanation. Maybe this is like modern art, the name of the painting like it has nothing to do with it, but actually its the Neanderthal in me that simply cannot see what's in front of my face.
Most of the time, blaming something on race is like Delta Airlines blaming gravity when their plane falls down. No its not the fault of race or racists - some boxers are better than others, lets evaluate at the level of skill not color of skin. (Racism is a real thing and it does happen, but this is overused and undervalues the real issue of people hating others for being others - blaming everything on race needs to stop, like the use of the N word).

Anybody that thinks wilder can't box on the back foot watch wilder vs arreolla, I know in his recent fights he was just looking for the one big right hand, I m not saying wilder is definitely going to win but I expect a good fight with anything possible, both have great skills, looking forward to this show

Or maybe knocking fury down twice will be his crowning glory and that when wilder stepped up to elite level he fell short as beating ortiz is no yardstick. Fury wasn't at his best in 1st fightLast edited by hugh grant; 10-08-2021, 03:31 PM.P to the J likes this.
