Comments Thread For: Lennox Lewis Breaks Down Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Widler Trilogy Fight

Lennox Lewis said he was shocked when Tyson Fury went on the front foot to take the fight to Deontay Wilder in last year's rematch. Fury had told everybody what he would do before the fight, but Lewis admits that he was among those who thought he was lying.

What the hell he talking about? All he would do is grab, drop weight on the guy, hold on until ref. Breaks up. Then rinse and repeat until the other guy was tired out.

Tyson Fury is not just an all-time great, he is the greatest of all time. This is how Nash sees it, and we need to respect Nash. Lennox knows of Fury's greatness. Nash out.

He'll go down in history as one of the all time greats if he retires undefeated and unifies and defends the titles.

Right now it's too early to say, but in terms of his boxing ability and defence alone he's right up there with the best of them. All he needs now is a better resume of beaten opponents, and that will come.

He also has the best comeback story in boxing history so far too, shame that it was partially ruined by idiot judges who may or may not have been on the take for that first fight against Wilder though.

Fury an ATG???? WTF????? Let us not get carried away now. He hasn't done much yet to be honest. He beat Wlad in a boring fight. Finally got some attention with this Wilder trilogy but according to Fury's fans and Fury himself, Wilder was a bum, is a bum and will always be a bum. Wtf does a bum do for your legacy? Exactly.

As of now, AJ has faced the better HW competition overall. Despite his own losses, I still think AJ's legacy is probably higher in comparison to Fury. AJ also had a more impressive win over an aging Wlad. Eitherway, no way does Fury have any ATG status yet. He still has a long way to go. Face some of those B+ heavyweights and take care of them similar to how AJ did. There is a chance, one of those can even knock him off. Face the likes of Povetkin, Whyte, Parker, etc. They all have a chance. Fury just talks a lot like he would win without actually proving it. Then his minions just believe him and rather not see him prove that.

Fury beat Klitschko, regained a belt against Wilder, and if he can beat Usk and Joshua soon (not 5 years from now), then yeah, you got to put an undefeated, multiple belt champion, up there with ATG's.....but again, there is more work to do first!

'The rule is, if you are going backwards, is that you stop, plant your feet and throw your punch. But that takes a lot of practice and only a few people can do that - and I am in that bracket.'

Not a fan of Wilder by a long shot and this man's prediction on the fight outcome will prove right, but I think its really sad when ex-pros of any sport centre themselves in relation to current sporting events because it tells me they haven't let go of the past. Decent ex-sportsman should absolutely be listened to for their experience, but making it about yourself is just narcissism.

Carl Froch does it. David Haye does it a LOT.

These guys have gotta move on; their time's over.

You make fair points. All I can say is, he's capable of ATG status and if he stays committd, he can get it in 2 years max.
