Lennox Lewis went life/death against a Mercer that picked up boxing at 23 and Mercer wasn’t different from Coffie.

Ortiz and Wilder was a great fight ,let’s not forget Wilder was saved by the bell . I include that fight of this era for sure but neither guy has a great win on their resumes . I chalk them up as anomalies. Beyond 2017/2018 Ortiz hadn’t shown top ten materials . Wilder is still a question Mark until he returns .

I would agree with the most competitive era I’ve seen , people have to remember Bowe and Lewis the top two heavyweights of the 90”s didn’t even fight and it was at the beginning of their career ,they stayed boxing and never fought .

Mercer was an Olympic champion though far better then Coffie who’s about Chaney level . I think guys like Hrgovic, Joyce , Dubois , Sirenko , Conto , .Wallin, Anderson and possibly Mahkmudov will show how tough it is not including Fury and AJ along with Usyk . People are just bitter .

By the same token, turning down $12.5m for AJ only to fight Fury for $5m? it's the same old story and is blatant proof that Wilder and the pbc are the reason why these fights didn't materialise.
