Povetkin got a much better deal against Whyte on PPV. Should he have taken a lesser fight for less money in your world?

Hunter could have lost the fight if the ropes didn't hold him up after getting hit with a good shot.

And Whyte got the rematch because he had a rematch clause. He wasn't going to risk his mandatory position without protection. That would be silly. But he's back on the horse now after knocking Povetkin out. Hunter is busy doing his best Wilder impression and ducking top fights.

Do enjoy his next one coming up. Remember, Hunter wants to prove he's the A side over ALL heavyweights.

That's kind of ignorant Sid... Fighters are fighters... whether a kid comes up hard in London, or Brooklyn, or Costa rica...

I get people have their ethnic and nationalist pride... but it should be remembered: we don't choose those things. So really? Show me the things people choose and excel at.

For you to think that British promoters and Fighters are good and American counterparts are bad is pathetic .

But whatever floats your boat my friend.

I like whyte... but you making excuses for him? Parker beat him... that's called winning a fight. No slight on Dillan...

Hunter will say anything to avoid taking blame for the ducking of Hrgovic.

And lets just say Trilla are paying him hundreds of thousands for these "Fights" nobody is watching nor has any interest in. The question that arises is... Why? For what purpose? It's a pointless waste of money. It isn't bringing viewers to Trilla. The complete opposite in fact.
          1) I believe they are called Triller not Trilla. If that's an attempted to belittle them, it shows a bias from the jump.

          2) Triller has shown to pay handsomely (in my opinion overpay) for boxing content as they attempt to establish themselves in the market. Hunter also stated it, which would be consistent with that. Hunter was entitled to 60% of the purse bid which was about $360k. For a platform that was willing to pay $6 million for Kambosos and Teo, going over $360k doesn't seem unrealistic.

          3) I could care less what Triller does or how they pay or for what purpose. I have had no interest in their content thus far and from what I know, I don't believe is like their presentation of content.

          4) Based on the barrage of messages you posted on this thread defending Dillian, you seem incredibly passionate and defensive about Whyte. Can you explain why you're so passionate about him? I'm legitimately curious.

That’s another lie , he was signed to a two fight deal with Whyte . No matter how many times you say something it doesn’t change into a truth . Povetkin did indeed have to rematch Whyte it was agreed to . Ha

He turned down the eliminator. He obviously saw Hrgovic as a big enough risk that the purse and ranking position wasn't worth it. He also seems to be wary of shenanigans that the promoter might try to pull with him as the B-Side in that.

I think it's important to understand context. His dad was a journeyman spoiler who won alot of fights against notable opponents but was also done dirty by the sport (his loss to Botha being one of them). His dad was a small HW and didn't have alot of power so he had to rely on the judges of hometown fighters to get the win. Witnessing that first hand probably gives him a bit of fear of it happening to him.

There are some posters here that blindly defend their favorite fighter and hate on anyone else. I'm not that. I don't think my favorite fighters are perfect or invincible. Did he lie? I dunno man, maybe he did. Things in life aren't always black and white and sometimes it just a matter of interpretation and opinion of those involved.
The lie was he claimed Whyte lost an elimination bout against Povetkin. He said this in an attempt to make himself over on Whyte . In fact Hunter lost to Povetkin if the missed knocked down is scored on the actual scorecards.

Good thing for Whyte. It would have ****** for him if Covidkin wasn't obligated to give him a rematch after suffering that embarrassing KO.
