You talk about mandatory titles. Why not ask how many world champions Pac has fought(24) and defeated(22) in different weight divisions the latter of which is just one shy of the world record(23) held by Mayweather. Anybody who jumps as many weight divisions like he has(and won championships in a record 8 of them) clearly doesn't have much opportunities for mandatories like other boxers who stay within their own division.

5 of those divisions where he has won championships were for lineal titles which is again another world boxing record, where you have to take the title from the previous titleholder in a continuing line of succession(which is how it was given before the advent of different sanctioning organizations in boxing), not for some random alphabet title that some organization is willing to give you.
100 tests in his whole career? Joshua, Canelo etc have had more in the the last 5.

Now we know you're a nuthugger. He lost to Morales, Mayweather, JMM and Bradley so why you claiming he only lost 2? Unless you're counting rematches and then he'd have nowhere near 24. So which stat are you bull****ting?

Which lineal record keeper are you going with? Ring only recognises him as 3. CBZ 4. Who were these lineal champions he beat?

They should be thankful they don't lose the belt in a fight...

None of these titles hold the prestige they once had. Theres just so many now, the average joe or casual fan would never understand your answer if they asked you who the champ was. The WBC used to be held to the highest regard & look at what a joke it’s become in recent years. The WBA is slightly worse. The IBF is probably the only organization that is strict to its own rules but nobody cares about it and same does for the WBO nobody cares, most of the good fighters aren’t even ranked with the WBO

Manny doesn’t need titles and he hasn’t needed them for a while. He’s held every single one at one weight class or another. At this point it’s just an extra trinket. Him having or not having a belt doesn’t make this fight any more or any less intriguing

He was a welterweight who got beat down by Mosley, was suspended a year for cheating, and then beat a nobody in Mexico. So how is it that two welterweights became the mandatories to fight for a junior middle weight title? It was a set up to give Pac that belt.
Easy to say that in hindsight. When that fight was actually made, Pac beating Margarito was no guarantee. I think the absolute shellacking Pac dished out makes people forget that.

I do agree that they did nothing to earn that shot but we’ve seen plenty of dumb things with these organizations. The WBA let Floyd skip the line & fight cotto for the 154lb strap & then allowed him to defend it against Maidana in their rematch at 147 lol. The WBC let Canelo skip the line and fight that scrub for Benavidez’s vacant belt. The big earners/stars always get special treatment

Pac was trying to fight McGregor and Ryan Garcia in exhibition fights at the time he was stripped.

Pac was rightfullu stripped. That he later changed his mind (because McTapout was knocked out and Ryan Garcia got mentally ill) has no bearing because the WBA don't have a time machine where they can look into the future and see that Pac those things would happen and Pac would end up fighting Spence as a result.

Shut up, Pacquiao. You're Pacquiao ffs. Belts don't matter when you're an ATG.

Even boxingscene.com specifically mentions that Pac won lineal world championships in 5 different divisions.
                      • Manny Pacquiao is the first and only fighter in the history of boxing who is credited with lineal championships in five different weight classes[48] (flyweight, featherweight, super featherweight, light welterweight and welterweight) by Cyber Boxing Zone,[20][49][50]TBRB[51][52][53] and BoxingScene.com.[54][55] This has been reported by ESPN,[56]CNN Sports Illustrated,[57]The Ring,[58]Yahoo! Sports[59] and many boxing websites.[60][61] He is also the third fighter in boxing history to win lineal world titles in three of the original eight weight divisions of boxing also known as the "glamour divisions" (flyweight, featherweight, and welterweight), joining the exclusive group of Bob Fitzsimmons and Henry Armstrong.[62] Additionally, Pacquiao has held three Ring titles in three different weight classes (featherweight, super featherweight, and light welterweight).[58]
If you where watching the press conference yesterday a lot those stats were listed there among which where the fact that he has beaten 22 current world titleholders. Even Mayweather mentions that stat as well where he still currently holds the record.

                      https://boxingjunkie.usatoday.com/20...yweathers-mark

Floyd Mayweather reportedly holds the record of beating 23 opponents who have held a world title. But he expects to be overtaken soon.

Manny Pacquiao, 41, has defeated 22 fighters who have worn major belts, the last being his decision over Keith Thurman to win a welterweight title last July. Mayweather figures Pacquiao will beat at least two more titleholders.

“They say, ‘The greats must fight the greats,’” Mayweather told FightHype.com. “Well, just look in the history books. You’ll see nobody beat more world champs than Floyd Mayweather. Even with that being said, Pacquiao eventually probably would [break that record]. But guess what, Pacquiao was a professional before me.”

                      Mayweather (50-0, 27 KOs) turned pro in 1996, Pacquiao (62-7-2, 39 KOs) in 1995.

                      ____

As for drug testing, the fact remains that Pacquaio has been consistently tested throughout his career and as I said the quote was more than 100 times by the WBC. He has voluntarily signed up for the WBC Clean Drug Testing Program and has been tested many times by VADA including twice within the past week for the Spence fight. Since the Floyd Mayweather fight he is one of the most frequently tested fighters in boxing and has always tested negative. Haters likes deluding yourselves into making imaginary conspiracies about him still being on drugs without any proof whatsoever.

Since you mentioned him, Canelo on the other hand did test positive for clenbuterol twice in the past particularly before his fight against Golovkin in 2018 for which he received a 6 month ban from boxing.
