Also, the reason why he got rocked because he actually squared up and fought Linares flat-footed; Which made this a very hotly contested bout at times. Devin took more risks and chances in this fight than at any other time in his boxing career. Other than that, I thought with Devin's jabs and the beautiful combinations he threw. He dominated.

Haney is 22 years old... let that sink in all you "wah wah hes a hype job, hes been exposed, wah wah." he went out of his way to challenge himself against a guy who hits hard and was able to deal with it. Will Haney lose a few fights coming up? Perhaps... Hes also on track to develop phenomenally. His jab, his poise, his instinct in the ring... this kid is going to be very good and maybe great. His chin is also fine... He got tagged plenty in the early rounds and shook it off.
Of all the prospects, here is a kid with a real work ethic, who has natural talent, and has been brought along professionally and not as an amatuer... who is winning at a young age against excellent fighters... and people are damning him when he does, as they would if he didn't.
Right now today, if he fought a tourney with all the other prospects that should be fighting each other, I don't know if he would win... But in a few years, when Tank is showing the social skills he learned from Broner and treating boxing as less of a priority, when lopez has to move up in weight, and when Ryan has dealt with his own demons, I would be willing to bet Haney will be top dog out of this group.champion4ever likes this.
