I understand, it really is hard to keep up. This is what happened, Loma had the WBC belt, but he petitioned the Franchise WBC belt, Franchise belt gives the feedom for a fighter to fight the mandatory or NOT. At that time, Haney was the mandatory to fight Loma, but Loma pulled the Franchise move on Haney so he wouldn't fight him, so the REAL WBC champ belt was given to Haney. So when Teo fought Loma, that green WBC was and is the Franchise belt, It's not the real championship belt. All this is thanks to Mauricio for the foolish Franchise belt. The Franchise belt is just a reward, NOT a champ belt. Mauricio did that to favor certain fighters and to benefit Mauricio monetarily.

The WBC "promoted" Lomachenko to Franchise champion and then passed that designation to Lopez. It's like saying Josh Taylor isn't undisputed because he doesn't have the WBA Regular belt Barrios is carrying around.

Haney's belt is fake because he was given it as a result of another fighter in the same division being promoted to a higher status by the WBC. Teofimo Lopez is the top recognized champion by the WBC, Haney is secondary whether he likes it or not.

It's ****** of course. There should be no such thing as a Regular, Super, or Franchise title. But that's the sad reality we live in.
