Why do people (like Mike Coppinger) fall into the Teofimo 'Undisputed' label?

We already had to deal with the Super, regular, gold etc from the WBA, so when are boxing fans going to step up and stop recognising new BS?

The WBA came up with the Super because anyone of their champions that holds another belt automatic gets upgraded, then they created the regular version of their belt, we accept it and it created more confusion. The WBC now created this french fries belt to be given to another who has a marquee name and it’s non transferable according to their own corrupt chairman.

Loma dropped his WBC belt. And non of the other organisations recognised the french fries one. So no need to complicate things even further. If the WBC wants to scrap the belt that had the history in the one held by Haney then let them come out and say it. So that the other governing body can recognise their french fries belt… But they wouldn’t do that.
Yup, there are actually people defending the whole Franchise reward as an actual championship belt. I tell you people are quite ignorant.

The Franchise Belt is a nonsense. It's not a real championship. It doesn't have mandatories, and in theory it's not even able to be lost in the ring, though they make those rules up as they go.

The WBC belt in the division isn't worth much more. It's got great history, but in the present they've turned it into a joke.

I completely agree that boxing fans should take a stand against this crap. My stand is that I don't recognise any WBC belt at middleweight and lightweight. There isn't a WBC belt in those divisions that could define someone as a champion.
Yeah I am so against the Franchise reward man. It's making the sport worse

They defend it probably because they are a fan of the boxer holding it. Am a fan of Canelo but I don’t think he is the WBC champ at 160. That is Charlo for me.

I like Teo Lopez for going out there, fighting Commey and Lopez when others like Tank are hiding before Floyd Mayweather and fighting low level competition, but that doesn’t mean I would lick his ass.

We just saw Josh Taylor v Ramirez, where was the french fries belt? Nowhere. It was the normal belts from each governing bodies to make that undisputed fight, we nearly had Fury v AJ and no WBC french fries belt insight. So no anyone singing the tune of Teo Lopez is a moron.

I have a mind of my own, I follow the history of the sport, I don’t count idiots like Coppinger who have everything to lose as someone to hold up high when it comes to establishing the truth. He would probably lose his privileges to interview Teo Lopez if he doesn’t call him undisputed.

Well said man. I mean, I definitely respect what Teo did, he fought Nakatani, Commey and Loma back to back. That's awesome! Same with Taylor regarding TRUE Undisputed. Facts, Cahrlo has the WBC at 160, he is champ.I am not a man fan by any means either. We need more people who are fans of the sport and NOT man fans

Well put, regardless of the belts much respect to Teo Lopez, he had those 3 fights back to back and he is still only like 23 years old, under 20 fights etc… So massive respect, but that doesn’t mean am going to call him undisputed when he had a made up belt, a belt that is NOT recognised by any governing body.

One of the biggest issue with boxing is the man fans that we have nowadays. Most of them can’t separate their love for a particular boxer. They think you are having a go at that particular boxer. When it’s not the case.

Am just not going to be eating off the plate of corrupt governing bodies, who make up the rules as they go along. Until fans put their foot down then this shenanigans would continue.

Hopefully when Lopez gets past Kambosa he and Haney can finally fight for the undisputed like Taylor and Ramirez did.
