Maybe Triller agreed to let Hunter have a 30 minute long entrance song

He's gone from interesting thriller to a nobody cares filler. For a bit more money (maybe). Beating Hrgovic took him to a title fight, this Bob Smith or who ever the FKK he is won't. If anything somebody else will take his spot and sporting wise he has taken backwards steps to take no clear leaps forward.

According to his tweet below it's not just a one off fight it's a multi fight deal and he will still be in line for a title shot if he wins it will just be for a WBA title instead of the IBF.

Well if he got a multi-fight deal & this Wilson fight is a WBA eliminator than I can’t argue with his decision. Sure I’d rather see the Hrgovic fight but I’m not the one getting punched by him. His Povetkin draw was a WBA eliminator so if he wins this fight he is pretty close to the front of the line. Helenius, Bryan, Charr are all winnable fights. So he went the WBA route…

I think hunter realized that there are many in line Wilder, Usyk/Joyce and so he realized lets grab this 3 or so fight deal contract now. Who knows, dont care - many great fights happening this year

Very true. If we look at the Fury vs Joshua saga, I doubt Hunter would get a shot anytime soon. You are correct but, he would probably end up like Fres Okendo (48 and been waiting for 7 years lol).

300k is too low for a HW fight of that caliber. DAZN overpays for garbage content over and over then underpays for a good HW match up.

Can’t blame him sadly, it’s hard to blame any fighter who goes for more money. it’s their job.

Also, who really knows Hrgovic apart from some nerds on boxing forums? That’s why the purse was pretty low - Hrgovic has fought nobody except stiffs. Hunter probably looks at the fight and feels there’s no huge upside beating Hrgovic right now, only in the eyes of a tiny amount of people who care. And even worse if he loses to someone the public don’t really know.

he can probably just fight on Triller for more money and more exposure, because he’s not that well known himself.

not saying I like the decision, it robs us of a really good fight. It’s just the realities of business.

It's a business for all parties involved (except us fans), they won the rights with that bid. I don't blame them for bidding low and I don't blame Hunter for taking a different, more lucrative path.
