Prograis made $850,000 to beat up on crappy Redkach. Redkach made $250,000 to get beat up and quit from a phantom punch. Steve Cunningham hadn't fought in 4 years and got $150k to fight Frank Mir. You think Triller hadn't assessed what he was making and decided to pay him more to add legitimacy to their boxing card? LOL. Hunter must be lying for the hardcore boxing fans. Right.

But fighters are going to take the bigger money and more exposure, than a risky fight which hardly anyone cares about for less money.
it’s always going to be that way.
its easy for us to criticise when it’s not our money. Especially in a sport like boxing where every fight could be your last.
If McDonalds doubled your salary tomorrow to go work in a different McDonalds, you would probably do the same.Comment

Would Prograis turn down a legit opportunity to fight someone that pushes his name further and gives him credentials? No, he wouldn't. Hunter however is all talk. He tried to convince people he was for real with nothing but words. But when the opportunity came for some action, he's done what everyone nearly enough is doing in the US. Money doesn't even come into it. They want fights that have been manipulated for their advantage, otherwise they're out of there.
Go and look at all the opponents the Americans take and look for a pattern that is clear as day. It's right there in front of you. You can't miss it. But give me a shout if you can't see it and i'll help you out.Comment

LOL you actually made me laugh out loud!!!! Did I say he wasn't avoiding a tough fight??? Read man..just read then breath ..get your emotions under control and comment lol. I replied to REDEEMER in this thread agreeing that Hunter knows he doesn't have a chance against Hrgovic. Was that so hard to understand?! You add "money could be huge" implying that this isn't even a fact that you can prove and a "fantasy stories" like you call them. Cmon man!!!Comment

As I said, I don’t like it, it’s ruined a good fight

Hunter won't get any exposure though. If he's on a fight bill, anyone who's watching will do something else while he's on. There is no reason to watch him fight a stiff. He doesn't even have an attractive style. He isn't a world champion, or even a former one. There is actually no angle that i can see that is positive. For other fighters, sure. But not Hunter. This just looks like the usual duck. He knows he can't beat Hrgovic, so he's out. Money doesn't even come into it.Comment

This isn't about money. It never is. They just use it as a road block to make sure the fight can't happen. They want to instead cherry pick weaker opponents to try and make sure they stay in the win column.Comment

Do you really believe it's for more money though? Not for one second do i believe that. But he has to lie to try and justify ducking the fight.

He got a multi fight deal & that stiff he is fighting Mike Wilson is the WBA #12 & their fight is an eliminator. Triller has been paying fighters really well (overpaying in my opinion) & their fight is landing on a PPV. Why would he take less money & less exposure to fight a tougher opponent? Nobody cares about Hrgovic but a few people on this website. Nobody but Hearn put a bid down for the fight. It they are going to pay Frank Mir $350000 then you can bet Hunter is getting a lot more to fight in a WBA HW title eliminator. Boxing is prizefighting & they are in it to make money. He loses to Hrgovic for $364000 where does he go from there? To the back of the line. He beats Wilson he is near the top of the WBA with more money on the table. It really is a no brainer but it sucks that we the fans lose out on a good fight. Bottom line is nobody knows who Hrgovic or Hunter are outside boxing fans on these websites. Hunter will be co-featured on a PPV in the US… What exposure is Hrgovic getting? Even if he beat Hrgovic he isn’t getting the money or exposure on a US PPV. I think he made the right decision for himself. He is 32 so his peak earning power is not going to be around long & with all the world titles busy for another year or so he wants to earn as much as possible. Triller obviously made him a deal he couldn’t refuse… $$$$$ talks
Trilla has been paying fighters that are actually worth having on their platform. Hunter doesn't have that reason. But who doesn't make a claim that they're getting paid more money than they actually are when it comers to ducking a fight? Of course they're going to lie. They don't want people seeing them for the coward they are. But their abilities to lie are woeful. Any moron can see through it all. They contradict themselves like it's going out of fashion. The hypocrisy is blinding. As a boxing fan, you shouldn't be so willing to buy it all the time. Otherwise, what's the point. We might as well shut the sport down now and have done with it. It cannot survive like this.
