Not saying he will end up that way but I have seen it with Boytsov, Dimitrenko & David Price where they all looked like they had the stuff to do good things & fell flat when they went to the next level. Botysov never even got to the next level after losing to Leapai. I reserve judgement on Hrgovic until I see more. Hunter had already beat 2 decent prospects in Kuzmin & Bakole. Time will tell with him. Amateur pedigree doesn’t always make a great pro. I’ve seen medalists fall flat on more than one occasion. I look forward to watching him fight more
I get you, but i think a lot more of Hrgovic than i did any of those other guys. I see him in the same vein as a Froch like fighter. Tough, great chin, and willing to fight for the win. I'm not saying he'll prove as great as Froch did, but if given the chance to fight proper competition, i think he'll prove himself a genuine player like those others didn't.

I hope so but I’m getting the feeling he will have to fight his way to a mandatory much like Chris Byrd did in the 90s. Nobody was jumping to fight him because big risk/low reward. All Hrgovic can do now is win a couple eliminators against whoever will actually step in there. I would like to see Yoka/Hrgovic. They could do it in Paris & I would expect it to be a good payday for both especially for Yoka. There would be the 60/40 split but Hrgovic wouldn’t get any extra PPV money. I don’t know who else would be able to command a better purse bid for a Hrgovic fight. Not sure who else is available & can draw a crowd to garner a big bid…

That would be a great fight to be fair. But i don't think Yoka and his team will go for this at this point in his career. Hrgovic clearly beat Yoka at the games 3-0 but got ripped off. Just as Joyce did in the final. So they know how dangerous a fight like this would be. Then you add in Yoka's stamina problem he had in the amateurs likely coming back as Hrgovic will push all the way until he gets the job done.

I just can't see it happening. Although it would be welcome should Yoka prove me wrong and actually go for it.

Yoka has actually been brought along pretty good. He has been the distance in a few fights as a pro & beat a few name journeymen & former fringe contenders. He’s got some rounds in as a pro. I like what I see from him to this point. I don’t pay attention to his amateur pedigree as those 3 & 5 rounds fight are a lot different. I think those stamina issues are behind him from what I have seen so far but when the competition gets tougher can he kerp it up? Time will tell. I got this feeling we end up with Hrgovic/Kabayel which is a decent matchup. Kabayel did outbox Chisora pretty efficiently. I look forward to seeing any fight he is in & it will be against an IBF top 15 guy.

Yeah, if it's Kabayel, then that's what Hrgovic has to take. It's an OK fight, but not what i'm really after. But he can't do anything about it, just take what's on offer.

I just hope a quality fight comes along for him soon so he can get things really moving. But we all know how the boxing world works. It is what it is.

Not into this punch drunk guy but Hunter is clearly better off taking the deal with Triller (who I also don't like).
