well there is a video of him shaking his head in the No direction. Thats proof that he said no to something... Probably was not "You want onions on that cheeseburger." Could be to something like "you want to stop" I suppose... I have no inclination or preference in this debate just stating how things appear to me.

Or it could been, "we're pulling you out" like Ben Davison said in the interview we're discussing here?

There is a video of Joe Frazier shaking his head in the no direction just before Eddie Futch pulled him out of The Thriller in Manilla. Back then, boxing fans were happy to accept Futch's explanation it was his decision to stop the fight and Joe was shaking his head to indicate that he didn't want it stopping. But boxing fans were different back then to what they are now.

I can't get into the debating that stuff - always hate to see the fight end like that when the rest of the body is capable but uh....that's the nature of fighitng ....do damage...he got stopped.

I didn't want it to end just like I didn't want the prior fight end with the referee stopping it out of nowhere. Canelo could have gotten the proper stoppage too...either way I was still interested in what was going on in the fight, DAMN.

Many guys couldn't see out of their damaged eye and still went out and gave it their all.

Then you have guys like BHS

Canelo’s first fight at the 160 limit was GGG.

So what was this timeframe where Canelo missed a prime GGG?
I would say 2013-2015. That’s when GGG was at his peak to me and Canelo was already busting at the seams fighting at 155. I don’t blame him for fighting Cotto instead though because that was a more lucrative option.

In an ideal world, the fight would have happened in May, 2016. Canelo and GGG both knocked out overmatched opponents (Amir Khan and Dominic Wade) when they should have been fighting each other.
