Comments Thread For: Saunders Wanted To Come Out For Ninth Round, Says Ben Davison

Ben Davidson can't train a boxer to fight out of a wet paper bag. How did he even get this job? He should be training fat people to lose weight that's about it.
Speaking of fat. Where was tyson fury after Canelo broke bjs face? Must be some gypsy magic going from 6'9" to disappearing off the face of the planet.
I will say this though. Bjs was gaining confidence and winning more rounds then the judges gave him. Canelo hits like a heavyweight. Maybe his gloves were loaded? Lol

Who knows? Davison could have been saying we want to stop it and he was shaking his head, or Davison could have been giving him advice for the next round and he was just shaking it off. Either way, he didn't look like he really wanted to go out for the next round and rightly so -- stopping the fight was absolutely the right thing.
Credit where credit is due: after Canelo broke his face, BJS did keep on fighting and taking punches for the rest of the round.
Karmic retribution where karmic retribution is due: those Dubois comments and what happened.
BJS remains a tosser either way. The fight stopped at the right time either way.

Notice he is doing the aged old trying to shut his eye to get the dr to stop it even though his eye wasn't shut. BJS quit,& I hear he faked his surgery & just had a bruise. lmpzYqz.gif

BJS got the fight beaten out of him. He wanted out and his cornermen saw it and made it happen. Plain and simple. This other bs narrative that BJS was surging and just got “unlucky” is pure fabrication. Every single fighter who quits from now is going to have the same excuse, that he suffered a life-threatening injury that fixed the stoppage; because nobody wants to except it they quit. We’ll see what individual fans believe.
