You could say the same about Pacquiao fighting at 145 though.

If Floyd beats JMM convincingly and Cotto beats Manny... either Floyd or BHOP will get #1 spot... most likely BHOP, but with him inactivity... people might not move him anywhere...

I think it all boils down to how he beats JMM, if he beats him. But if Pacquiao beats Cotto, he keeps his place... even if Floyd KO's JMM in round 1.

you know what? i honestly think that even if pac and jmm loses, they will keep there spot on the p4p list for the reason that theyre moving up in weight to fight the big guys

cotto will have a better place in the p4p list but i just cant see him being the #1 by beating pac
i thought cotto wouldn't deserve it either, until he was made a 3 to 1 underdog.

manny is too overrated right now. he's a legend, there's no doubt about that, but his current image is that he's so great that not even a dominant WW can beat him. if he loses against a bug underdog (cotto), he'll go down on the list. you just can't stay #1 p4p after getting a loss. he'd be #3 or #4 IMO

in floyd's case, he'll be considered #2. i agree with what you say, but it doesn't work that way unfortunately. heck, the only WW he beat was bumdomir, and he stayed p4p king without actually campaigning at WW

yea the same way according to people here Cotto wont be #1 by beating Pacquiao which he is #1, and Cotto is ranked in the p4p list. But they will put Mayweather #1 by beating #2 and not being ranked anywhere in the p4p ranks

I like Floyd, hes my favorite fighter... and I want to see him take the #1 spot back... but I am being fair here, come on.

I guarantee the majority of P4P lists will disagree if Floyd beats JMM convincingly and Pacquiao beats Cotto.
Just like Floyd is the Emritus WBC 147lbs champion right now so is his number one status.Everyone right now is just waiting to see how much Floyd's got,if he's still sharp and impressive,he automatically takes back his spot.Manny meanwhile will become number 2,and the truth is even if he's extremely good against Cotto the best he will become is number 2.Cotto's record over the last 2 yrs is not impressive so in the pound for pound ratings that's taken into consideration.Floyd was not number one for a few months like Pacquiao,he was over a long time and that's not erased just like that.If he's still doing what he was doing 2 yrs ago he will be the best fighter.

thats a big NO. pac is moving up to fight cotto, and cotto just beat a legit welter in joshua clottey. win or lose, cotto deserves a better spot in the p4p list til floyd fights a legit welter

Now Mosley is number 4 and since his fight with Margarito has not fought anyone while Cotto will do his 3 fight this year.
Jennings- just a come back fight
