just my opinion, and if i turn out to be wrong, i dont give a fcuk anyway!

I will say 1 thing though to Floyd's defense. His wins against DLH and Hatton mean more than Pacquiao's. That's a no brainer.
      The point is obvious..

Look at the people who voted Pacquiao would be a great win for Cotto..@ ww

Now think about What these People had to say about
      Floyd Mayweather fighting Ricky Hatton.

Majority of the board for a while now using this line,
Ricky Hatton wasnt a great win for Floyd because he wasnt fighting Floyd at his best weight which is 140.????

      My Response:
but Ricky Hatton was a WBA welter Weight Champion and undefeated

the people who voted Pacquiao would be a great win for Cotto @ ww Response:
Well Ricky Hatton Wasnt Impressive at Welterweight.

      My Response:
I didn't know you had to look impressive in winning a championship belt in order to be taken seriously as a champion...I thought if you beat the champion for his belt then you are a champion???
By that Standard how many champions can we say are not real champions because they didnt look impressive when they won their belts???

the people who voted Pacquiao would be a great win for Cotto @ ww Response:
Ricky Hatton is a Junior Welterweight because he fought most of his career there, Floyd should have fought a real welterweight or fought Ricky Hatton at 140..!!

      My Response:
But Floyd has had 39 Fights in which
31 fights were at 135 and under.
Only 8 Fights were at 140 and up.

Ricky Hatton had more fights at 140 AND UP then Floyd did...
Both Floyd and Ricky Hatton were Welter Weight Champions.

      Floyd started at 130
      Ricky Started at 140

Now these same people Are Singing a different tone.

      Look at is saying now

It seems like you cant understand that, with all your fruity Copy/Paste and repeating yourself like a clown!!!!!!

So I guess now all the people who voted Pacquiao would be a great win for Cotto @ ww now think Mayweather win over hatton was a great defense of his welterweight title and was a big legacy fight for him, because Hatton was already the king of the division Below and he already a champion and fought at WW.. and furthermore Since hatton was a former welterweight champion since Hatton challenge him .. that mean you never had a problem with Floyd defending his WW title against Hatton...

      It is funny how...

When One fighter does something it is the worst thing in the world...
by when their fighter does it...It is a great career move..

Calling them Hypocrites would be an understatement.

I understand Cotto's stock would rise, but having it be a great win when Cotto's is the naturally bigger, stronger guy against Pacquiao? Please don't use "everybody saying Pacquiao beats Cotto" argument. I'm talking about boxing skills here--something that everybody has been making an argument against Pacquiao to discount his achievements.

Could somebody PLEASE explain this to me.
you must see What I seeing too...
according to the logic used on boxingscene everyday.

        this fight should be boycotted..

          Does it mean:
1.That Manny Pacquiao was the world's top junior welter but we found out against COTTO that he was no better than top ten at 147?

2.That he beat a fighter that didnt belong at Welterweight?

          3. That Cotto should have fought Berto, Mosley, or Williams instead of picking on Jr. WW's?

          4. If Cotto wanted to fight within the Welterweight limit than he should have fought a WELTERWEIGHT! and if he wanted to fight Pacman the fight should been at 140, a weight thats his Pacquiao weightclass.

          5. That it was a great win reguardless
Did you make this thread when Mayweather fought Hatton? Just curious. How does that stack up, seeing as how we now know Pacquiao is a far better fighter?

IMDAZED what I did with this thread was use the arguments of some you guys against the floyd vs. hatton fight and Floyd vs. JMM fight and now apply it to the cotto vs. pacquiao fight

Here is an exact quote from you

Now how I am curious to see what is your opinion on cotto vs. pacquiao
              and what if cotto wins.

If Cotto beats the #1 P4P fighter in the world and the world's top junior welter I think it's an excellent win to add on to what is an already impressive resume.

The fact that you are trying to compare pacquiao and hatton as equal fighters is laughable...

Personally i had no problem with floyd fighting ricky, it made sense at the time and floyd won impressively but with that said pacquiao is in another league at this point in his career then where ricky was two years ago.

Bottom lines is that both Cotto and Pac are 2 of the best all around, crowd pleasing boxers around. A win for either guy over the other is a great win.
