Just to clarify things up..... Floyd still holds the lineal title at 147.

Just thought i'd clarify this up. So although Mosley is the no1 at 147 at the moment, he'd have to beat Floyd to get the lineal crown.
how do you figure that out, considering the Ring don't even have him ranked?

      is PBF immune to this?

        Farce of a thread.

The whole lineal concept is cloudy to me. I'll just go with the Ring title to establish who the guy to beat is in any one division.

At present, it's up for grabs at welter - but Floyd was the last holder, no new Ring welter champ has been established in the interim, so if he's coming back to fight at 147, he's the de facto man to beat in my eyes.

lol he cant find them but he knows the rules. i dont think he even read the rules. there are no rules for lineal champ. it is just an opinion basically from people that got fed up by stripping champs for not fighting mandatory

IMO floyd retired, therefore relinquished any boxing titles he at the time had.

Maybe i should have worded my posts a bit more differently, but from what i know the guy that beats Floyd at 147 will continue the lineage.

You said that a new lineage is set once a guy retires. Wanna change the rules again?

Exactly, and that's why this thread was meaningless nonsense from its inception.

The Ring title is the best guage we have of any title available. It's up for grabs at 147 with Mayweather the perceived class of the field. That's how it is.
