The Ring champion is said to be the lineal champion. Marquez is the Ring champion because he beat Casamayor, this is where he got his lineage. Pac beats Hatton and becomes the Ring champ, this is where he gets his lineage.


The Ring champion is usually the lineal champ, unless a new lineage is set.

Yet on page 2 when I proposed Calzaghe had been the lineal champion of LHW you told me I was wrong because he only held the ring championship.

you have to be ranked #1 and #2 at the weight. none of them are rank in the welterweight division. so it wont happen

No he was the champion. It was for the ring championship belt. The one that Hopkins had. The one that Tarver had before him.


Ok Erdei is the lineal, but my point is on one side of the coin you're saying the ring champion doesn't equate to lineal claim, but then on the other side, when you're explaining why Floyd is lineal, you're saying that its partly because you reckon the Ring will recognse him as such?
