Idk why people discredit Roy for the Toney win.

He was arguably the 2nd best fighter in the world, behind Whittaker. Just 4 months earlier he had taken out Tim Littles with more ease than anybody would have guessed. I mean, maybe weight was an issue- but DAMN. A man deserves more credit that that.

The Toney win was by far the biggest win of his career. they should both fihgt at HW now and then retire.

depends how u score the fights..in my opinion he didn't lose any of these fight..maybe draw against taylor in fight one..how many times did u see b-hop get hurt? how many times did u see him duck anyone? how many times was he ready to face the best? b-hop is a true legend in any way a boxing great right next to thomas hearns

He beat Calzaghe and Taylor x2 IMO without a doubt.

WHAT? You mean he beat himself. He sure as hell did not beat these guys. He lost but he lost only because he refused to go to war.
I like Hopkins but I refuse to blindly hug his nuts on falsehoods such as saying he beat these guys. I still can't believe he was unable to beat Taylor

i fail to see how jermain taylor is a legacy fight. he was a prospect who accomplished nothing before he fought hopkins and was just built up by hbo. looks like some people fell for hbo's manufactured bull**** hook line and sinker. besides the 2 gift decisions he accomplished nothing after he fought hopkins cept for a win against cory spinks(yay!)

too bad jeff lacy wasn't a middleweight so that could be his legacy fight like the princess of wales.
