These recent fights are all basically mega fights, which is good for him, but that doesnt mean i can just look at his resume, then look at robinsons, or alis resume, or armstrongs, or joe louis resume and say "yea, pac is right there" because it just isnt true.

Welterweights are 147 not a catch weight. Some of you are probably going to say well they can fight under the limit. What makes this NOT a welterweight fight are the terms of the fight. If it were a true welterweight fight then Cotto could weigh in at 147. It is amazing how many people are on here talking like it should be for the welterweight title when they have no clue of what it is to fight for the title. Last time I checked there was no belt for 144 or 145 lbs.

Hopkins-De La Hoya was for 4 middleweight titles and the contracted weight was 158.

Leonard-Hearns 2 was for the super middleweight title and the contracted weight was 163.

Leonard-Lalonde was for both the super middleweight title and light heavyweight title and the contracted weight was 168.

Whitaker-Chavez was for the WBC welterweight title and fought at a catchweight of 145.

This is only recent history, there's been some of these in the first half of the 20th century as well.

Pacman is losing my respect more and more each day. Cotto and Mosley have already conceded the financial aspect of a potential bout. Now he wants to fight at a catch-weight of 145 lbs which Cotto already agreed to... But then, when you thought he was done demanding.... a championship belt too!!!!!!! RIDICULOUS!! This has to stop!! If you do this for Pac then any other fighter can't be denied of such demands in the future.. this can take a huge toll on BOXING. If Pac wants to be a WELTER WEIGHT champion!! then he needs to fight (or allow his opponent) to perform at the WW LIMIT!!! Obviously if you make Cotto smaller he won't be as strong and Pac will benefit. If I was Cotto I would improve my stance financially for the bout considering the fact that I now have to add things to the table like: My $, my weight, my belt, my lifesavings, real estate, cars, wife, kids.... are you really looking at PAC's RESUME? or just looking past the achievements and just hating? PAC beat 4 1st ballot hall of famers 5 if hatton went in, won 4 lineal championships (no one did this even those you mentioned), won 6 division titles, never ducked anyone, started from 106 destroying people up to 140 lbs. who does that? could you mention anyone?
