cotto is a quitter, but alot of HOFers have quit too so don't take it so personal.

When you decide that you can't take anything any more and just give up like he did in his fight then that means he quit!

If he had heart he would of seen this through or been put on his arse! But the term quit means that you give up like he did, he couldn't take no more and just gave up, Quit!
      QUIT:
discontinue put an end to a state or an activity

i don't take it personal at all. but trolls throw that term around here trying to get peoples panties in a bunch to start flame wars as if they could have done better or lasted 30 seconds in the ring with the terminator. lol.

First off we DON'T know for sure if Margo was plastered for the fight w/ Cotto. I've watched that fight 100x times and Cotto fought the wrong fight. He lanquished on the ropes 2 much, never attacked the body 2 slow Margo, and never stood his ground constantly moving and wearing himself out later in the fight. Margo took ridiculous shots and walked right throught them and had CRAZY stamina 4 the fight. Bottom line if Cotto didn't quit then what did he do? He took 2 knees and knew he couldn't win I.E. HE QUIT!

He did indeed as evident by him retreating backwards and hugging the floor. Plaster or not he would have done that either way to me. His punches did nothing to Margorito and we are talking fluid hard crisp combos that were deadly with speed and power landing exactly were Cotto wanted them to. Yet, those punches did not even slightly phase Margorito, IMO Margorito got better the more Cotto hit him he just kept coming. Margorito would never lose a fight to that man. I don't even like Margorito but that man will dominate Cotto like a nightmare 10 out of 10 times.

i know that by definition he quit. but in the demeaning hater like way that a lot of the anti-cotto team here means it no. they make it sound like he got knocked down once was in good condition and decided to stay down. or he got frustrated by not being able to ko margarito so he quit on his stool between rounds or something.

I do not blame Cotto one bit for what he did. Matter of fact, i think he was right to do so. be that as it may he did quit, but what does it matter.

Cotto didn't quit, his corner stopped it.

So Margarito used plaster against the "shot", 5 to 1 underdog Mosely, but not against the guy who was supposed to easily handle him, in the biggest fight of his career?
