with or without loaded wraps Margarito would've walked him down plain in simple....cotto wasn't doing anything to his chin and wasnt really going to the body of Margarito

it's one thing to quit on your stool. its another to take everything you can possibly deal with and submit. cotto wasn't getting "destroyed" by any means. he was still landing the more meaningful punches and more combinations. tony is a machine. i blame cottos game plan for him taking so much damage, but not as much as i blame the loaded gloves. all in all dudes on here are too comfortable calling fighters and not just cotto a quitter, coward or saying so and so fears this other guy.

i guess we all weren't watching the same fight that night.

I think he was just beaten into submission. Whether it was plaster, bricks or cinder-blocks it all took its toll. As hard as it is for a Cotto fan in me to admit that it was what it was.

          Peace.

Cottos not a quitter, Margarito and his trainer are ****ed up people. Cottos a warrior and put on I think his best display of boxing in that fight and vs Mosley. He is damaged good now, and it'll show vs Clottey. Margarito is one ****ed up cat for his antics.I like how Sugar SHane knocked his ***** ass out.

That still remains to be seen, I guess we'll find out June 13th. As for Margarito his reputation I think tarnished beyond repair and a year out of the game in his prime years is only a detriment to his future.

I belive Cotto lost and Margarito did not wear plaster because Nevada provides fighters the hand wrapping material unlike Cali. For those bring up theory like why would he not wear against Mosley and not Cotto?

Simple Mosley's chin is one of the best in boxing unlike Cotto who had been hurt at 140 and 147 by smaller fighters. Margarito knew that Mosley was high risk so i could see him trying to get an edge. I still need more details on it because they keep changing story.

Nobody's saying Cotto had to win by knockout are they? If not for the toll Tony's hands took on him, he could easily have cruised to wide UD

being a quitter doesn't make cotto a coward. like someone said, he was beaten into submission.

                      I admit he was done..but he didn't quit..there's a difference..

Cotto took the first knee..got up..and took a knee again..got up..and Evangelista got on the apron to throw the towel in and Cotto shook his head "NO"..he would have rather had the ref stop the fight..but at the end he was still standing!..

How did he quit tho?..he didn't stay in his corner..on his stool..he didn't remain on his knee for the full 10 count..he was up on his feet!..and evangelista threw the towel in!..
