of course there are people that are in the HOF that dont deserve to be there. That doesnt mean you keep inducting people in who dont deserve it. just b/c some got in who didnt deserve it dont mean u start putting people in to fit your argument then defend it by saying well some got in who didnt deserve it.

The IBHOF doesn't have standards for induction. Every year it submits a list of fighters to the Boxing writers associaton of America and they vote who gets in. We all know there are as many dimwitted writers out there as intelligent ones. The kicker is, ANYBODY can become a member of the BWAA by applying and sending in (last I knew) a $30 fee. Im of the opinion that many of these guys really arent that knowledgable and base a lot of their decisions on popularity. It would certainly explain why there are so many undeserving fighter who have been inducted while there are still many deserving ones who have not.

Pretty much, it is a flawed system. When talking about the best of the best fighters the term to use is all time great, it is a much more accurate term to describe the best of the best.

As well as the weight drain for Oscar...Freddie discussed this.

No, Freddie said that Hatton wasn't fighting the same like something was taken out of him. Not because of the 1 loss. Manny has been knocked out twice and has lost but Manny is better now than then.
They were even talking about Hatton being past his prime after his performance against Lazcano. Against Paulie he looked better but he had a fighter in front of him that was afraid to punch for fear of breaking his hands again; sort of a shock from injuring his hands to much and to many surgeries so his confidence was down.


Hatton and Oscar were worse off when they met Pac compared to Floyd, however; Hatton would have still been knocked out no matter what but Oscar at 154 where he was healthier and gained weight by fight-time would have been a bigger challenge.

Implying that, in his natural fighting weight, he felt really stronger than when he went to fight PBF at welterweight. In the case of Dela Hoya, I guess you haven't heard or read about Nacho's statement about the concluded Dela Hoya vs. Pacquiao fight. Particularly, on Dela Hoya's health.

That's what I was thinking. A aggressive Floyd is an easier fight then a defensive one.

Like I said, even if Hatton was past his best, it doesn't matter; Pac beats any version of him.

Next:

Oscar: The majority believe Oscar was dead and messed himself up through dieting. Freddie said it and many others. It's one of the reasons Freddie said he told Pac to jump on Oscar from the start. It's also why he took the fight. He based his reasoning on that Oscar would have trouble coming down in weight like others have in history. Freddie backed it up with examples.

Freddie is smart...no question.


You have two eyes: compare Oscar from the Floyd fight and this fight. Either way, even Floyd's version, although Oscar was huge that night, he wasn't in his prime...but at least he was healthy. Pac had a dead man in front of him. But yes, Oscar's fault.

Haha Freddy is upping the ante here, looks like the fights gonna happen if mayweather wins his next fight.

I seriously hope freddy is teaching manny new punches as we speak, he is a tremendous fighter, great to watch, but deep down freddy knows what the deal is, which is why I think he is resorting to things like this.

Can I just also say, Floyd doesn't seem to have a real problem with manny, Ive heard him talk about this at length in previous interviews, he respects manny as a fighter, he just thinks he's on another level to him.
