Most members of Pacquiao’s inner circle indicated that Mayweather Jr had lost out by signing to fight Marquez and announcing it before the Pacquiao- Ricky Hatton showdown and as a result lost out.

Quit making excuses for Manny, he fought Oscar at 147 and destroyed him. Why can't he fight Cotto or Mosley at 147? I think that the fight should be done at 147 for the belt. Also, the: catchweights are there to give a disadvantaged fighter a level playing field, is bull**** because in Pavlik-Hopkins it was there to give Hopkins the advantage at 170. I guess when fighters are considered P4P#1 they turn into bitches and don't want to take risks like Floyd did. Paquiao is one of my faves but not fighting at 147 would be a ***** move.

pac's body frame is not made for 147.he's not a legit WW. besides, pac has all the aces ryt now and everybody wants to fight him. if he commands that cotto fights him at a catchweight below 147, so be it. cotto has the choice to accept it or not.
btw, i doubt if cotto will accept a fight with paul williams at WW considering williams' big advantage over him.

I expected this one to be mooted since Saturday afternoon, and moreso in the month between Cotto-Clottey and Mayweather-Marquez (if Cotto gets by Clottey).


But I think Floyd gets the Pac fight if he beats Marquez. Would be mildly surprised if Pac-Cotto went ahead instead.
