and Mosley. Mosley is an *******. He totally hung himself
    out to dry.
From what I've heard over the years, BOTH of them have avoided each other at certain points when it was convenient for them to do so, now Mosley realizes his time is getting short. Regardless, I still feel Mosley would beat Floyd and I always have felt he would. Nobody else has the style to beat FMJ besides Mosley. FMJ fears someone as fast or faster than him that has a solid jab and power, and that sums up Shane Mosley completely. People though that Zab Judah had the same tools I just spoke of to beat Mayweather, and up until round 4 he seemed capable of doing it. Granted I have never been impressed by Judah, but the point is he was as fast/faster than FMJ, had power, and applied the pressure well. Shane could do it and I wish they would fight to finally answer this question.

I highly doubt Pacquiao picks Shane over Cotto or Mayweather. I don't see that happening at all. Mosley couldn't be hurt or stopped by Pacquiao, and Mosley could knock out Pacquiao easily. The man hits like a truck, and Pac is too simply too small. To a lesser extent I feel the same way about a Cotto-Pac fight. I hope neither gets made for Pacquiao's sake.

I remember in an HBO commentary even Larry Merchant said Shane
wouldn't fight Floyd. Sounds to me that your grasping for straws and
picked the smallest one and lost. IT'S OUT & OFFICIAL SUGAR SHANE
      MOSLEY DUCKED FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR
      .
C'mon Grust, look at Shane's resume compared to Floyd's, who is the duck? Ya'll worry about who said this and that, I look at who gets in the ring and actually fights who- that's some high school ****. You think he's ducking Floyd! You and Jake need to "stop smelling like pine cones" cuz ya'll are trippin.

Come on man. Floyd pursued Shane and Shane avoided him bottm
line. The only time Floyd didn't want Shane was when he became
a big star and by then Shane was a nobody. Why would Floyd be
scared of Shane when he wanted him some years ago? Shane has
the style to beat Floyd? Oscar used Shane to help train him to beat
Floyd because they thought Shane was similiar to Floyd and Oscar
still lost. Forreal though sometimes on this site people keep trying to
blind the truth with nonsense even when the facts are right there
in black and white. Boxingscene just blew it up for the world to
see right? Are you saying that you know more than the insiders?
Home boy even got a link in the article to back up his story.
When Mosley's wife (Jin) was his manager she did not want Mosley
nowhere near Floyd. Fact of the matter is that Floyd wanted
Shane and Shane didn't want none period. Even now he said
he wants Pacquiao after he called Floyd out? Now that Floyd
is back all of sudden, he'll fight Pacquiao first? Shane is a
opportunist but seriously from what I'm reading and from history
and being unbias and loving the sport, Shane NEVER wanted none.

I hear you man and Shane is a tough cookie but look at the facts.
It's not me nut hugging or taking up for Floyd because it's right
there in plain view. If Shane wanted Floyd, why didn't he just
get in the ring with him? Don't let your personal feelings get
in the way from what's actually true and that is Shane ducked
Floyd. It's right there! The guy who wrote this thread ain't
got no reason to lie, why would he?

I think the main argument was when he was accused of ducking Cotto.

It doesnt matter who avoided who. Nobody really knows but shane & floyd. it doesnt matter what this writer said. Just because he wrote it doesnt make it true. Cmon now grustlah, fact of the matter is they didnt fight period. Floyd hasnt fought a credibly threatening opponent since zab judah. Thats zab judah. before that, jose luis castillo. Shane has taken on prime cotto, prime margarito, prime collazo. Mosley's roster of opponents dwarf's floyds.

Agreed. Furthermore I don't really care who ducked who way back when. The fact is, Mosley is considered as the #1 man at welterweight RIGHT NOW, so why does it matter who ducked who? If anyone is ducking someone, Floyd is RIGHT NOW. Shane just said he asked for the fight from Floyd and Floyd said no. Is that not Floyd ducking Shane, the man widely regarded by most including The Ring as the top welterweight?

Ultimately, if Floyd wants some respect, he needs to convincingly beat either Cotto or Mosley. As good as Marquez is, he is going to be at a disadvantage against the pretty boy.
