And therein lies the problem - people are actually aware of Larry's bias, but are perfectly willing to accept it when it comes to, say Floyd Mayweather.

Here's my thing - don't discredit Floyd-Marquez. Grill the hell out of Floyd AFTER the fight. I mean honestly, after 19 months, is Floyd-Marquez any worse of a comeback fight than Trinidad-Mayorga? DLH-Mayorga?

After the fight, if Floyd dances around questions regarding actual welterweights and resorts to tears and "you never played the game", then yes, tear his ass apart.

Otherwise, just let him have to deal with the fact that, despite his greatest insistence otherwise, he's no longer number one in the sport. That part has to eat him alive, considering his tremendous ego. That never goes away.

Also, for what it's worth - Larry should be equally critical of Golden Boy Promotions. Rather than force Floyd's hand into accepting a fight with, say Shane, they not only serve up Marquez, but are also all the way in on the promotional end of the fight.

Consistency is all I ask for. Larry doesn't deliver, and deserves to be called out for it.

I agree with this post. I getcha, I am not one who is criticises this fight. I may disagree with the accolades floyd might heap on himself if he wins, but I don't think it will be easy. As long as it leads to better fights for boxing, I'm all for it. Merchant is an old bat, I think they're all like that. My pops is.
