Agreed. Furthermore I don't really care who ducked who way back when. The fact is, Mosley is considered as the #1 man at welterweight RIGHT NOW, so why does it matter who ducked who? If anyone is ducking someone, Floyd is RIGHT NOW. Shane just said he asked for the fight from Floyd and Floyd said no. Is that not Floyd ducking Shane, the man widely regarded by most including The Ring as the top welterweight?

Ultimately, if Floyd wants some respect, he needs to convincingly beat either Cotto or Mosley. As good as Marquez is, he is going to be at a disadvantage against the pretty boy.

According to him, he is back because he missed the competition and excitement, and is fighting for respect and to prove he is indeed the greatest of all time. He said all of this in his recent return press conference. So if respect and proof he is the greatest is indeed his reason, why not go for the top Welterweights first? Does Marquez do anything for respect? Most people would be inclined to say no, myself included.

So which is it? Respect? Or money? If he wants respect, fight and beat the top WW's in Mosley and Cotto. Unify WW then fight Pacquiao for P4P. All that could be done by the end of this year had he not chosen to fight the smaller man in Marquez.

Larry is the voice that everyone else seems afraid to be. The bottom line is that Floyd's arrogance brings the hate upon himself. Don't say you're the greatest fighter to ever live if you don't or aren't willing to prove it in the ring. And he has said it numerous
times. And old timers don't want to hear that when they've witnessed and covered true fighting legends that actually fought for a living. Not just give lip service to there so called accomplishments. This is Floyds memorable fights: corrales fresh out of prison and weight drained, castillo which many felt he could have lost, de me hoya who is clearly not in his prime, and hatton, please! I wont mention Zab because my heart hurts at the talent that he has wasted. And let's not forget the crying after the gotti fight, who exactly did he feel he had just beat. It's still just gotti! The guy hasgreat boxing ability but he lacks the heart to be great, period! His legacy and record will prove that just like the great welsh joe. PAC now and even oscar was throwback fighters they fought the best and often more than once. Floyd never has and never will be that guy, he's the guy that invades a division and fights the weak link (baldomir, gotti) for example. If he wanted to great hecould have there weren't and aren't any shortage of good if not great fighters would jump at the chance to fight him. What I'm saying is that if u fight for money then say that I can't fault a man for getting paid, just don't call yourself the greatest. Why fight Mosely or Cotto when Pac is better. Pac destroyed Hatton, in much worse fashion than he did himself. Pac will beat either Cotto or Mosely. He has faster feet, faster hands, and has killed Oscar and Hatton. WTF are you talking about fight Cotto or Mosely. Then he would be ducking Pac. Why fight one of those guys over the top pfp fighter in the world. You just sound like a person who doesn't want to see Floyd beat Pac. If he beat Pac he deserves to be called the best because as it stands right now, noone else can. Not shane, and definately not Cotto. Cotto would be looking like Hatton.
