Boxing matches need to be on different channels besides Showtime, HBO, ESPN and Vs. I remember Mayweather had a fight on TNT, (I think it was against Gregorio Vargas) they should do more like that.

HBO has learned the hard way what are the consequences of giving tv dates to european fighters. No hate here but let's take some notes: They gave 2 dates to Calzaghe. Just when he was becoming a star in the US he retired. Showtime gave Froch another date, now he's probably heading back to Europe to resume mandatory hunting (hope not!). HBO has a feeling these fighters USE them to get the exposure they need and then back off or retire, it's like giving a job to someone who may quit on you within 2 weeks without previous notice. I'm almost certain this is the case. To Tunney, Dawson is the guy who won EVERY round in his DOMINANT win vs Adamek, any new there? Adamek is also a very good fighter and I'm sure he deserves a date. But he's not American and he's fighting a "build up my record with a good name" kind of fight. I think it's understandable only Americans would get American TV dates for such matches. It's not an Hatton-Pacquiao you dig?

I dont understand HBO. They approve **** fights like Cotto vs Jennings/Gomez......Dawson vs Tarver II (which nobody gives to ****s about), but they turn down a potentially entertaining matchup like this were both fighters are coming to scrap. Hopefully somebody else picks this fight up. It should be pretty entertaining.

HBO is full of s#@t!!! How many times did we watch Wladamir against some stiff yet HBO sends their crew all the way over to Germany to watch a sure knockout win by Wlad in an absolute stinker of a matchup!!!! They agree to showing Dawson/Tarver II, whereby Tarver is done as a fighter yet HBO shows that....SHAME ON YOU HBO!!!! hey SHOWTIME pick it up!!!!!!

That's because they know those guys WILL stay with HBO. They will not run home to Germany or whatever and start taking mandatories. European fighters other than Hatton are an huge risk, specially protected and undefeated ones.

That is truly not understandable, Wlad's latest fights aren't exactly exciting... maybe it's business decision making in the making.

Adamek is hardly protected or undefeated, and he has fought in the US a bunch of times.

In my opinion this is guaranteed to be a war. I'm sure Showtime will pick it up since they have been showing Glen Johnson against Dawson and Adamek against Cunningham/Banks recently and neither have disappointed.
