I don't think he would want to be hit consistently by a naturally bigger fighter over and over, and Johnson wouldn't hurt Adamek. Compare the hand speed and boxing ability of Dawson to that of Johnson, you you'll see a huge difference. Johnson is no where near that fast or quick on his feet.
Johnson has a decent defense as seen in the dawson fight, I can show you the video of him days after the fight with no marking on him, he takes alot of punches on the arms which is why its hard to stop him in his tracks

Totally agree, but Dawson took adamek's punch, went down, got up schooled him some more, so there's some hope for johnson because I think he has a strong chin.

Another thing is, Adamek was ALLOWED to walk up to cunningham for free, that aint happening against johnson, who will be jabbing and throwing rights, this makes it alot more difficult for a fighter to get set and land the big punches. Once Cunningham used the double jab, Adamek looked horrible.

So yeah man, i totally take your point on board, I just think Johnson moving forward whilst shoving the jab in adamek's face will present a different challenge than Cunningham backing up and letting adamek get inside for free, then opening up on him.

I think Johnson might be able to smother him and i'll tell you this, Johnson would have no problems landing that jab on adamek, or the right hand, or anything else.

      Hbo

Dont see what HBO is doing tbh, Adamek is an exciting fighter who fights reguarly (he beat Cunningham in a war on December 13th and then fought Banks on the 27th February, unbelievable) and Johnson is a warrior, will be a great fight, Showtime is the show for exciting fights and fighters and HBO is more of a show for purists and boxers

looks like hbo isnt into giving fight fans what they want to see. talk about not even trying anymore, this is one of the major reason's hbo boxing is not on top anymore, i mean, we can go through and pick ho boxing apart all day and night long, but the bottom line, they're ruining their position as the number one network for boxing, now, they have become a joke because it's obvious they have an agenda that has nothing to do with boxing fans..........

in a way im kind of glad hbo is blowing it, because, i think that they were and are getting too conceded and arrogant about their boxing stable of fighter, which has dwindled into nothing, now they're looking to hype up anyone that has a decent record.

watching hbo now, is like watch the last 10 years of gary shaw, because they're basically now on the same level, trying to do the same thing as one another, make a star and not worry about making exciting fan friendly fights.

hbo is all about making a cash cow star to milk, not boxing anymore!!!

I dont think I buy the "size mismatch" arguement that I'm hearing. Glen has been at light heavy for 7 or 8 years, and Adamek only moved up to cruiser like 5 fights ago after spending his whole career at light heavy. That to me is NOT a size mismatch..........

should be a fun fight. I think it will go a similar rout to Pavlik/Miranda. Be an entertaining slugfest at first, but slowly start to become one sided. I think Adamek knocks out Johnson late. Not sure if Johnson will have that much power at cruiswerweight.

This'll be great. I think the size factor is being overplayed - don't think there's much between the two. Lets not forget Adamek was a LHW for a long time even if he struggled at the weight.

Just have to give the edge to Adamek though. Going to be great to watch though.

I see a lot of slipping in Johnson, a lot. I know what a shoulder injury looks like and the way he was shaking his right arm in the final rounds of the Daniel Judah fight looks like a shoulder injury.

To beat Johnson you have to be in great shape. He likes to rest after he gets his stuff done, then explode, then rest. You have to jump on him while he's trying to rest and make him fight when he doesn't want to fight.

HBO not giving fight fans what they want to see??? HBO has maned up this year and told Arum and all these other guys, quit with these damn mismatches. HBO turned down Cotto-Jennings and Pavilk-Rubio and that was great, because there were fighting cupcakes, get that **** out of here. then Arum tells HBO he wants Cotto-Cintron (another mismatch) HBO says hell nah, thats the only reason we getting Cotto-Clottey this June, so THXs HBO. Nobody knew this JT-Froch fight was gonna get down like that, but thats good for showtime. HBO will always be the biggest, and they've really steped it up this year. Marquez-Diaz could have easily been HBO PPV, but HBO said lets do it for the fans. Mosley-Margarito could've easily been HBO PPV but HBO said lets do it for the fans.

Tarver-Dawson 2 over Adamek vs. Johnson? HBO is all about what brings in the most money. Showtime always gets the fights that HBO doesn't think is big enough.
