Not as competitive as on paper, Mayweather is not only bigger but faster...he'll rack up points early and skate to the cards...he won't get macho like Marquezs' other victims.

Hey may be holding the cards, but how come he only pulls the ones with little or no risk? You know the only bigger fighter that he fought was an old DLH and he hasn't had any great opponents since 135. The best one was Hatton but we all know he ain't **** at 147. Hopefully he does like someone was saying earlier, fight JMM, Pac, Cotto, Mosley. If he fights Cotto and Mosley then he should get all the credit in the world for fighting 2 legitimate WW's.

I mean, Mosley had a shot at Floyd after Margarito and basically
dropped the ball by low balling Mayweather with $8Mil knowing
that Floyd would not go for it then backs off of Floyd and now
JMM is negotiating with Floyd. Obviously JMM people made an
offer that Floyd agreed to and I'm sure it wasn't $20Mil like he
wanted but it is a good amount and that's why the talks are on
going with weight being the only issue. Then Mosley calls PBF
and asks for a fight knowing that JMM is negotiating with Floyd
now? You don't think that is a lil su****ious on Shane Mosley's
behalf? Miguel Cotto hasn't publicly went out and called Mayweather
out for a fight in like NEVER. Cotto won the Jennings fight and
said nothing about Mayweather but the lil JMM did? Come on man
the door swings both ways. Cotto's humbleness and lack of trying
to chase PBF is the reason for the fight not happening as much as
Floyd not wanting to fight Cotto. I would like to see Floyd fight
Cotto & Mosley at 147 though.

I don't think shane wants to mess around at 154 if he wants to fight 140 lbers.

I don't see why all these people are fussin about Cotto... He made everything bad for himself in losing to Tony. If he would have lost to Shane, everything would have been ok. But him losing to Margarito showed many weaknesses. He tried to pull a Floyd and fight going backwards againt a bigger guy but his footwork aught up with him cuz its not good. He should have stuck to his guns and countered Marg to death like Shane did... rather he tried to beat Tony to the punch all night which he did pretty well for the most part... but since he was going backwards his punches lost steam... If he would have sat under his punches he could've did something but he changed his whole style and demeanor for that entire fight. Not the sign of a true champ.. Tony really didn't do much of anything that fight as he was losing every round but he fought with a purpose and eventually gave Cotto those 3 digging uppers that crumbled him.. He did lose to a cheater but the cheater also TOOK everything he had to give (which was alot). I see Clottey putting the same kind of pressure on Cotto... Cotto won't be able to hit Clottey effectively to the body at all cuz he couldn't even do it to defenseless Margo. Clottey's shell defense will give Miguel problems... I see Cotto throwing alot of punches and getting tired and Clottey capitalizing off of his mistakes... Clottey is very patient. He just needs to worry about lunging too much with those triple hooks of his and he'll be fine. I wouldn't rule out Cotto catching him lunging while he's throwing the triple hooks... I just don't see him doing that.

you DO realize that tony more than likely cheated in that fight, right? i can't see mayweather taking 15 plaster punches without losing steam in a whole fight against a one-dimensional cheater

Good point! I wish more fighters would be vocal in post-fight interviews about who they want to fight next...like it used to be back in the day. No matter what, we gotta give Marquez props for calling out the former P4P champ.
