Do all boxers do this intense training? Because some boxers look like fat slobs who haven't done any cardio or weight lifting? I'm not attacking you, I'm just asking a question. Some boxers look like they sit on the computer all day long and watch tv all day long then jump into that ring and fight. chris arreola for example, he looks to be in one of the worst shapes I've ever seen a pro boxer be in.
What is so impressive about Paul Williams jogging 7 miles a day?

1. james toney is known to do almost no road work (at least in the latter part of his career). His main cardio is his sparring.
2. Vitali Klitschko (possibly Wlad too, not sure about him though but Vitali is a definite) admits that he does ZERO roadwork as it is too hard on the joints due to the impact so he swims for his cardio instead.Comment

Juan Diaz does that for cardio aswell, so I think Juan Diaz might be a little lazy when it comes to jogging. But he still is a good fighter.
Yeah, he is so funny calling my gay liazu, when I look nothing like jason liatzu, or whatever that skinny white kids name is. Racist ****s.Last edited by ACHlLLES; 04-14-2009, 03:03 PM.Comment

This is why 7 miles a day is impressive. If you run that much you start to notice pain in your knees after a few days.
Swimming is a great way to do cardio. You burn a ****load of calories and its easy on the joints. Plus running for that long is just ****ing boring.Comment

I have leg injuries and foot injuries for running all the time, so I know what they and you mean by joint injuries. No gay jokes now, I'm not gay. I also know that running on the treadmill is better on the joints because of the flat surfaces. But as you said, running gets boring. Especially when I'm very picky on the music I listen to.This is why 7 miles a day is impressive. If you run that much you start to notice pain in your knees after a few days.

actually 7 miles is above average, boxers can't kill them selves running a marathon.I read Jeff Lacys blog back in the day and he runs about the same amount of miles a day, and Lacys no great fighter. Meaning Paul Williams is a good fighter but I don't get why people think running 7 miles a day is anything special when most boxers run that or even more.
7 miles is like what 11km?
most boxers do 10 km, so he's doing a tiny bit more.
20 km is just ridiculous for a boxer to be doing.Comment

Yeah but him running is part of his work and intense training isnt it you tit!!!
If im a fat ass who sits at a desk all day as you say, but I still can run 5 miles a day then Williams being a pro boxer and doing 7 a day aint so fucking impressive is it.Comment
